  • Patent number: 10482642
Abstract: A method for automatic garment fit customization is provided. The method comprising steps for generating a garment by creating two-dimensional (2D) panels, in which the garment comprises a plurality of garment landmarks (GLMs) and a plurality of garment landmark lines (GLLs), which are key locations and lines on a surface of the garment, simulating draping of the garment on a reference body, where the reference body comprises body landmarks (BLMs) and body landmark lines (BLLs), performing a fit evaluation and calculating misfit measures comprising landmark (LM) misfits, landmark line (LL) misfits, and circumferential misfits, performing a fit adjustment for panel alteration operations modifying some of the 2D panels based on the fit evaluation, performing draping simulation with the modified 2D panels, and repeating until the misfit measures fall within a predetermined criterion and determining customized 2D panels that fit the reference body.

  • Patent number: 10249100
Abstract: A method for progressive drape update on avatar morph for a virtual fitting system comprises steps for providing an infrastructured avatar for a three-dimensional body, providing an OBJ avatar, providing a garment, draping the garment on the infrastructured avatar, providing a morphable avatar so as to wrap the infrastructured avatar, performing metamorphosis of the morphable avatar from the infrastructured avatar to the OBJ avatar so as to provide a plurality of transitioning shapes of the morphable avatar, applying physically-based simulation of draping the garment to the plurality of transitioning shapes of the morphable avatar, and displaying the garment draped on the OBJ avatar on the screen of the information processing device using a result of the physically-based simulation of draping with the last frame of the morphable avatar.

  • Patent number: 10134200
Abstract: A method for CIG-mode rendering in a virtual fitting system is provided. The method comprises step for: preparing a three-dimensional body, selecting a first garment for an outer and a second garment for an inner, assigning a plurality of inner-saver objects (ISOs), initializing all pixels of a stencil buffer for the screen; incrementing first pixels of the stencil buffer corresponding to interiors and RGB-drawing of the interiors, and the interiors comprise pixels of the outer or the inner, decrementing second pixels of the stencil buffer corresponding to exteriors and RGB-drawing of the exteriors, incrementing third pixels of the inner-saver objects and void-drawing the inner-saver objects; RGB-drawing forth pixels of the inner, where the stencil values are greater than zero.

  • Publication number: 20150242546
Abstract: A method of cloth simulation using a constrainable multigrid is provided. The method includes steps of: calculating a change of geometry of the mesh of nodes at a plurality of time steps using a multigrid method by solving a time-varying partial differential equation at multiple resolutions or levels; providing a hierarchical mesh through restriction or coarsening by down-sampling from level m to m?1 or prolongation or interpolation by up-sampling from level m to m+1; transferring soft constraints between different hierarchical levels using a damper-based constraint method; updating the position vector x and the velocity vector v of the mesh nodes; and displaying an updated state of the mesh of nodes using updated position vector x and velocity vector v on a display.
