Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for increasing call receiving rate of a terminal. This method includes establishing a data call between the terminal and a base station, and determining the presence or absence of registration of the terminal to the server. The server supports wireless communication between the terminal and the base station. Another operation includes determining a timing point for transmitting a message for the release of the data call from the base station to the terminal according to the presence or absence of the registration. An example of the wireless communication is a PTT (push-to-talk) communication.
