  • Publication number: 20070037469
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a polyhedral block-type magnetic toy, which is constructed so that a magnet is movably provided on each surface of a polyhedron. The magnetic toy includes a plurality of polyhedral blocks (31) and magnets (32). Each of the blocks includes a magnet moving space (R), which is provided across each surfaces of the polyhedron, is partitioned into a plurality of small moving spaces (Rs) by a plurality of walls (W), is covered by a cover unit such that each open end is isolated from an exterior, and has the shape of a straight groove. The magnets are movably inserted into the small moving spaces provided on opposite ends. The polyhedral block-type magnetic toy allows the contact area or coupling position to be changed as desired, when unit blocks contact each other, thus creating various shapes of structure, therefore being useful for education.

  • Patent number: 7160170
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a panel-type magnetic toy having compartments where permanent magnets move. The magnetic toy includes a polygonal panel body having a space therein, a plurality of compartments defined in the space of the panel body, and separated from each other by at least one partition wall, and a permanent magnet movably provided in each of the compartments. According to this invention, as the magnets are rolled in the hollow compartments partitioned by the partition walls, attractive force is generated between the magnets of neighboring panels. Thereby, it is possible to connect the panels to each other at various positions. Since the magnets move according to the contact position of the panels, it is possible to manufacture variously shaped structures using a small number of panels, thus increasing creative potential.

  • Publication number: 20030034612
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a dartboard with a magnetic rubber sheet. The dartboard includes a target board, a holding pole and two closure members. The target board includes a magnetic rubber sheet having a rectangular shape and containing iron, the two sheets of cotton flannel being attached to both surfaces of the magnetic rubber sheet and having raisings on their outer surfaces, and an upper fitted piece attached to the upper end of the front surface of one of said two sheets of flannel. The holding pole includes a hollow for holding one end of the target board, a slit formed along the entire length of the holding pole to pass through the inner and outer circumferential surfaces of the holding pole, and holes for allowing a hanging string to be fastened to the holding pole. The two closure members are each provided with an inserting recess into which one end of the holding pole is inserted.
