The separator includes a coating layer formed non-uniformly on the polymer porous support, and thus, can provide an effect of improving the workability of a battery assembling process. A method for manufacturing the separator, and a lithium secondary battery including the separator, are also provided.

The separator for the lithium secondary battery includes fine and uniform pores formed on the surface thereof to provide an increased adhesive surface area to an electrode, resulting in improvement of adhesion to the electrode.
