  • Publication number: 20110285308
Abstract: A Light Emitting Diode safety illumination device with thermal control and dimming compatibility for use with incandescent light dimmers and light fixtures. Circuit method and structure combine to provide thermal curve management of temperature control parameters overriding and taking priority over power and dimming of the intensity of illumination.

  • Patent number: 7151497
Abstract: An antenna system of coaxial elements and terminating impedances produces controlled bandwidth, broadband, and wideband performance under a variety of near field influences, with capability for simultaneous and alternating reception and radiation of electromagnetic radio energy. The antenna system enables broader bandwidths within miniaturized areas of confinement relative to wavelength. Singular elements of the system enable, and a plurality of elements of the system are combined to form specific bandpass, band reject, duplexing, and diplexing for radio frequencies as a function of the antenna system. The antenna system features complex terminating impedances which combine with characteristic impedances of coaxial structures to yield efficient radiating and matching functions for radio energy over a controlled bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20020010641
Abstract: A portable receiving system for receiving data products and data product information. The system includes a portable data unit and a subscriber interface unit. The portable data unit includes a broadcast signal receiver for receiving at least one of a data product or data product information modulated with a broadcast signal, a processor for separating the at least one data product or data product information from the broadcast signal by demodulating the broadcast signal, memory for storing the separated at least one data product or data product information, a presentation device for presenting the separated at least one data product or data product information, and a user interface for allowing selection of a data product associated with the presented data product or data product information. The subscriber interface unit includes a network interface for connecting the subscriber interface unit to a data product center over a communications network, and an interface for connecting to the portable data unit.

  • Patent number: 5590182
Abstract: A control device may be connected in series or in parallel to a telephone for restricting or routing calls made from the telephone to take advantage of low cost carriers for intra-LATA calls. The serial or parallel connection of the telephone can be detected as well. The device may be programmed for routing depending on the geographical location of the telephone. The central receiving office of the local phone company can be prevented from routing the call by the use of interfering tones.
