Abstract: A food slicer a base having a peripheral wall with a top rim and defining a central void. A plurality of support surfaces extends into the central void from an interior of the base below the rim wherein the support surfaces are substantially co-planar. A cover is selectively movable between an open and closed position. A cutting plate is dimensioned to fit within the central void and engages the support surfaces. The cutting plate is selectively invertible between a thin cutting position and a thick cutting position wherein the thin cutting position has a first cutting surface more proximate to the rim than a second cutting surface when the cutting plate is inverted from the thin cutting position.
