  • Publication number: 20100157942
Abstract: The present invention is related to FMIPv6 handover method and apparatus for the method in UMTS network. The present invention comprises obtaining lower layer information about a target RNS from a current RNS; obtaining upper layer information about a target core network from a current core network; establishing a tunnel between a current core network and a target core network by using the lower layer information and allocating a target RNS; and after allocation of a target RNS, transmitting a message notifying a target core network of connection to the target RNS and receiving packet data from the target core network.

  • Publication number: 20100156715
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for displaying accompanying vehicle position information and an apparatus thereof. The method for displaying the position information according to the present invention receives position information, displays the received position information with a unique identifier of a preset partner terminal, when the position information includes the unique identifier, and displays the received position information with an own identifier, when the position information does not include the unique identifier. According to the present invention, it is possible to display the accompanying vehicle position information with the own position information, without using a separate group management server.

  • Publication number: 20100162360
Abstract: Provided are a user authentication apparatus and method for supporting PMIPv6 (Proxy Mobile Internet Protocol version 6) in next generation networks. Authentication and mobility signaling protocol can be performed without having an additional signaling process when a mobile terminal moves by extending user profiles of the next generations to support the PMIPv6.

  • Publication number: 20100158010
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for forwarding a packet which is to provide a VPN service using an IPv4 address in an MPLS network. The method for forwarding the packet according to the present invention extracts routing information including a VRF identifier from a packet, when the packet is received at one or more CE routers in the MPLS network, searches for next hop information in a forwarding table by using the VRF identifier and a prefix, substitutes the searched next hop information by destination information of the received packet, and transmits the packet to an output port. According to the present invention, since the plurality of forwarding tables for providing the VPN are provided without extending a memory, the packet forwarding can be stably performed.

  • Publication number: 20100091710
Abstract: Provided is a method of providing IP mobility using SCTP (Stream Control Transmission Protocol) signaling in a 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) based next generation mobile communication network. The method of providing IP mobility constructs an IP mobility protocol on an SCTP layer of an interface protocol used between an integrated gateway supporting binding a mobile terminal with a different type network and at least one base station and used between base stations, generates a signaling message for binding the mobile terminal with the network according to the IP mobility protocol, embeds at least a part of the signaling message in the SCTP layer to generate an SCTP packet and transmits the SCTP packet to update binding of the mobile terminal and the network. Accordingly, design and construction of network related equipment and mobile terminal for obtaining IP mobility in the mobile terminal and the network can be efficiently performed and unnecessary overhead can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 7471700
Abstract: Provided are a router and a method of controlling a maximum transmission unit (MTU) of an external network interface. The router controls the MTU by disassembling packet data segments of a predetermined size and assembling the data segments of the predetermined size into the original packet data structure when the external network interface physically included in a linecard processor has an MTU that is greater than that of an internal data communication channel of the router, so that the external network interface can transmit and receive data with another router without being affected by the MTU of the internal data communication channel in the operating system of the router.
