In an illustrative, non-limiting embodiment, an Information Handling System (IHS) can include: a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by the processor, cause the IHS to: obtain information regarding a connected display; determine that the connected display is located in a conference room based, at least in part, on the obtained information; and modify a projection mode for the connected display based, at least in part, on the determination that the connected display is located in the conference room.

Abstract: Systems and methods for connecting a conference room to an ongoing meeting session are described. In an illustrative, non-limiting embodiment, a video bar of a conference room may include a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by the processor, cause the video bar to: transmit a first signal advertising the availability of the conference room; receive a second signal from a client Information Handling System (IHS), wherein the second signal comprises an identification of an ongoing meeting session; and join the ongoing meeting session using the received identification.

Abstract: Systems and methods for temporary and group-based pairing of wireless shared devices are described. In an illustrative, non-limiting embodiment, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include: a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by the processor, cause the IHS to: receive pairing information for a wireless shared device; pair with the wireless shared device on a temporary basis; and purge the pairing information from the IHS based, at least in part, on an occurrence of an expiration event. In another illustrative, non-limiting embodiment a method may include simultaneously connecting a shared peripheral to a plurality of IHSs; providing functional service of the peripheral to a first IHS, while denying functional service of the peripheral to a second IHS; and at a predetermined time, switching the provision of the functional service of the peripheral.

Abstract: The disclosure relates generally to firmware updates for conference room devices. When there is a firmware problem for a conference room device that needs fixing, it may result in the conference room sitting unused until an end user submits a ticket to information technology (IT). The present disclosure proposes a more proactive approach. For instance, a user may bring a laptop to a conference room for a meeting that uses a meeting application. The laptop may detect the presence of peripherals in the conference room and, in response, iterate through the different peripherals and discover current firmware version and health status for the peripherals. The laptop may then report to an IT server, for each peripheral, 1) peripheral identifier, 2) firmware version, 3) health status, 4) meeting room location. The IT server may then determine if any firmware fixes should be applied.
