  • Patent number: 11586561
Abstract: A computer device reads an indicator from a configuration file that identifies a granularity of units of data at which to track validity. The granularity is one of a plurality of granularities ranging from one unit of data to many units of data. The computer device generates a machine-readable file configured to cause a processing device of a memory system to track validity at the identified granularity using a plurality of data validity counters with each data validity counter in the plurality of data validity counters tracking validity of a group of units of data at the identified granularity. The computer device transfers the machine-readable file to a memory of the memory system.

  • Patent number: 11586502
Abstract: A method is described that includes processing, by a memory subsystem, a read memory command that is addressed to a first die of a memory device. The memory subsystem determines whether processing the read memory command failed to correctly read user data from the first die and, in response to determining that processing the read memory command failed to correctly read user data from the first die, determines whether the first die has failed. In response to determining that the first die has failed, the memory subsystem performs an abbreviated error recovery procedure to successfully perform the read memory command instead of a full error recovery procedure.

  • Patent number: 7242590
Abstract: An electronic instrument system uses a “DualPlay” concept comprising first and second mutually-exclusive modes of operation. The system includes an instrument module having first and second communications channels, each for linking the instrument module to one or more processors. The first communications channel comprises a first connector attached to the instrument module for mating to a backplane connector electrically connected to traces. The system operates in the first mode when the instrument module communicates through the first communications channel. Additionally, the system operates in the second mode when the instrument module communicates through the second communications channel, the first connector is disengaged from the backplane connector and the electronic instrument is not communicating through the first communications channel.

  • Patent number: 6853492
Abstract: A method and system for a conductive lens. In one method embodiment, the present invention forms a silver flash layer on a lens. A polyester sheet is then applied over the silver flash layer. Openings are utilized in the polyester sheet to expose an edge portion of the silver flash layer. A conductive bus layer is then applied around the edges of the lens, the conductive bus providing an electrical coupling between the silver flash layer and the conductive bus. In so doing, a lens that is visually transparent but electromagnetic interference (EMI) opaque is formed.
