  • Publication number: 20250122665
Abstract: Methods and features described herein are applicable to an improved hand-hand steaming iron that reduces dripping while operating in various orientations and that improves consistent steam generation. The iron includes a steam generating chamber that includes an integrated resistive heating element, and the chamber utilizes multiple dividing and fluid guiding elements with back and forth turn features to prevent liquid water from escaping the steam generating chamber in both vertical and horizontal positions. The combination of the geometric walls and the interaction with the heating element allow for a consistent soleplate temperature and efficient steaming of water that enters the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20240251994
Abstract: A method of controlling a heating appliance includes receiving a level selection at a controller, reading a starting parameter at an initiation of a heating process and providing a signal to the controller, accessing a memory including a matrix of heating parameters, selecting a first group of equations of the matrix at the controller based on the selected level, where the first group of equations include at least a first equation and a second equation corresponding to first and second starting parameter ranges, identifying an equation of the first group of equations of the matrix at the controller, the matrix having a corresponding starting parameter range based on the starting parameter, and performing the heating process according to the identified equation.

  • Patent number: 11618992
Abstract: A steam generator includes a pre-heat chamber configured to heat incoming water to a temperature less than the boiling point of water, where the pre-heat chamber is configured to heat the water such that if the water contains a calcium compound, the calcium compound is caused to take a particulate form. The steam generator also includes a filter assembly in fluid communication with the pre-heat chamber, the filter assembly including a removable particulate filter element, where the filter element is reusable and cleanable. The steam generator also includes a water pump in fluid communication with the filter assembly, and operative to cause water flow through the steam generator and a boiler in fluid communication with the water pump, where the water pump is configured to cause water to flow to the boiler, and where the boiler is configured to boil water such that steam is produced.

  • Publication number: 20210378445
Abstract: Contact grill designs with features that reduce the production of smoke and that otherwise diffuse smoke to reduce the visibility of the smoke as such smoke made up of a combination of steam and burned grease is generated during the cooking of a food product such as a meat product. Contact grills make use of passive air flow in one or both of upper and lower grill housings to reduce production of smoke and to better diffuse smoke to reduce smoke visibility exiting a cooking chamber of the contact grill.

  • Publication number: 20180125293
Abstract: An air frying system including a housing defining an inner chamber, a food basket removably positionable within the inner chamber, the food basket comprising a shell with first and second ends, a first cap attached to the shell at the first end, and a second cap removably attached to the second end of the shell, and a handle assembly adjacent to the first cap at the first end of the shell. The handle assembly includes a tray having an outer periphery and at least one handle extending from the outer periphery of the tray, wherein at least one of the handles is positioned outside the inner chamber of the housing when the food basket is positioned within the inner chamber of the housing. In this way, the food basket can be inserted and removed from the inner chamber without touching hot surfaces that have been heated during the cooking process.
