    Abstract: The surgical instrument for applying linear staple sutures comprises a supporting body with a supporting jaw having staple bending depressions. The staple body of the instrument is traversable inside the U-shaped supporting body from its own drive. The staple magazine is accommodated in the staple body and has a longitudinal recess with an open end to receive U-shaped staples adapted to be expelled from said magazine slots by means of an ejector. Part of the supporting jaw which carries the staple bending depressions is made detachable and has a groove. The supporting body has an opening arranged symmetrically to the longitudinal recess with an open end, both said opening and said longitudinal recess establishing in combination the gap for passing the knife blade traversable along the groove to sever the tissue between the sutures applied.

    Abstract: The disclosure is made of a surgical instrument comprising a suturing device having a supporting body and a staple body with an ejector for ejecting staples therefrom for suturing, the bodies being coupled together by means of a pivot device adjacent one end, and a retainer is provided at the other end thereof for locking a relative position of the bodies. A cutting device is provided for cutting tissues. The pivot device is coupled to one of the bodies by means of a mechanism for moving the body in the plane thereof in parallel with itself with respect to the pivot device. The retainer is of a length which is adjustable in accordance with the amount of movement of one of the bodies.

    Abstract: An instrument comprising a tubular staple case is disclosed, the case being traversed by a supporting rod extending outwardly therefrom with its front end. The tubular case is used to mount a plunger with a knife arranged on the rod. An abutment head mounted on the front end of the rod is made generally longitudinally detachable consisting of two members, an internal member detachably mounted on the front end of the rod and an external member encompassing the internal member and made up of interdetachable rests. Moreover, provision is made for a staple magazine and a female die with grooves for bending staples as well as a drive imparting motion to the plunger and a mechanism for adjusting the gap between an end of the case and an end of the head.

    Abstract: A device for uniting bone fragments comprises a rectilinear body and a contrivance for fixing it in the coapted bone fragments. The contrivance for fixing the body in the coapted bone fragments is formed by thrust members being the portions of the body located at the opposite ends thereof and having holes coaxial with the body; the holes being shaped as frustums of cones facing with their greater bases the ends of the body, and having annular grooves in the wall thereof, and cone-shaped inserts with annular ridges adapted to be introduced into the conical holes for wedging apart the body. The body has longitudinal through slots within the zones of the holes. The length of the device is less than the total length of the coapted bone fragments so as to be located fully within the bone tissues.

    Abstract: Described herein is an instrument, comprising a staple body and a supporting body hingedly connected thereto, both having longitudinal jaws. The staple body has staple magazines and a staple ejector. The supporting body has a die for bending the staples when suturing. A recess is provided at the base of one of the jaws on the side facing the hinge joint interconnecting the instrument bodies, the recess defining a free space between the jaws when they are brought together. The jaws are adapted to have springy elastic spacers mounted and held thereon with a possibility of subsequent releasing therefrom, said spacers being arranged on the side facing the inner compressing surfaces of the jaws so as to be stitched up together with the organs being sutured.The instrument disclosed in the present invention is successfully applied for establishing lateral anastomoses and interintestinal compression anastomoses, as well as for stitching up the mesentery.

    Abstract: Described herein is a surgical instrument for suturing cutaneous tissue, especially scar tissue, when stitching on skin grafts, said instrument comprising a supporting body and a staple body which are hinged to each other so as to be capable of being brought together or apart. A staple magazine is provided on the staple body of the instrument, and an ejector is provided for driving the staples from the staple body into the stitching unit. The stitching unit incorporates a single needle-shaped die with an L-shaped needle, said needle being mounted on the supporting body, and a slot formed at the end of the staple body through which the die needle passes when suturing. The needle-shaped die has two recesses, one of which communicates with the magazine through the groove provided in the supporting body, while the other of which, upon bringing the instrument bodies together, is located against a special groove in the staple body, communicating with the staple magazine and with the base of the slot.

    Abstract: The instrument has a separable body composed of two oblong interlinked members, each of them carrying at one of its vacant ends a detachable split bush adapted for the element being sutured to pass through the interior thereof and arranged across the longitudinal axis of the respective instrument body member. The bushes have flanges on the ends facing each other, each of the flanges having an open annular slot in the surfaces facing each other, and an opening made in the lateral face of the flange, the opening being communicated with the slot and with the tube that freely runs throughout the overall length of the instrument body and extends from it outwards so as to be connected to the vacuum device. The slots and openings in the bushes establish, along with the tubes, a system of air evacuation from the suturing zone, which is discarded along with the bush after the suturing procedure. One of the bushes has passages for the staples, while the other bush, a die for the staples to bend.

Made fast on said piston is the injection needle having the hole located at the base of said piston. Provision is made in the device for a mechanical actuator of said piston, which is a spring-opposed pushrod located inside the housing which also accommodates the retaining member for said spring-opposed pushrod. Said chamber for the second medicinal preparation is arranged concentrically with said chamber for the first medicinal preparation so as to embrace the latter. Said isolated capsule is mounted traversably inside said housing, while communication between both of said chambers is established upon a positive extension of said isolated capsule from said housing outwards.

    Abstract: The device for injection of medicinal preparations, according to the invention, comprises a changeable isolated capsule, an injection needle, and a drive to move pistons, made in the form of a spring-loaded pusher located inside the housing which supports the changeable isolated capsule. The housing has a stopping member to arrest said spring-loaded pusher. Inside said isolated capsule, installed coaxially therewith and with each other are a main piston closed by a partition on the side facing the chamber holding the first medicinal preparation and an additional piston. The partition is movable. The injection needle is installed inside the isolated capsule, fixed on the additional piston, and it in use passes through said partition, and has an aperture in the zone of the partition on the side of the chamber holding the first medicinal preparation. The additional piston is located in the channel of the main piston and limits the chamber for the second medicinal preparation.

    Abstract: A surgical apparatus for the simultaneous resection of soft tissues and their suturing with metal staples comprises an anvil and a staple branches, hinge-connected and having longitudinal jaws situated one opposite the other. A longitudinal row of grooves is made on the jaw of the anvil branch for clinching the ends of staples, while slots for the staples with staple tappets placed therein are provided on the jaw of the staple branch opposite said grooves. A plank with a wedge bevel on its end intended for interaction with the staple tappets when ejecting the staples is situated in the slot of the staple branch, and is longitudinally movable therealong. Rotation shafts are set along each branch with needles set perpendicularly to them, intended for grasping the soft tissue.
