  • Patent number: 9663101
Abstract: A hybrid vehicle includes at least one drive axle which can be driven by means of a drive device, which has an accumulator, an electric machine coupled to the accumulator in order to exchange electric energy and an internal combustion engine which, when activated, mechanically drives the electric machine to generate electric energy. The hybrid vehicle also includes a control unit which controls both the electric machine and the internal combustion engine.

  • Publication number: 20170144648
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a process for route-dependent control of an energy storage device of an at least partially electrically operated motor vehicle, for example a mild-hybrid passenger vehicle, which is implemented by a charge state control device. In this process, said device receives at least one information-containing data value, which relates to a driving situation to be expected on a route section of a driving route. A prediction of the energy requirement of a first device of an onboard network on the route section takes place using the information received. When a predetermined lower threshold value of the predicted energy requirement of the first device is not met, a control signal is generated that causes an energy quantity of an energy reserve of the energy storage device reserved for the first device of the onboard network to be allocated at least partially to a second device of the onboard network.

  • Publication number: 20160297423
Abstract: In a method for controlling a hybrid drive in a vehicle a forward-looking prioritizing of the charging of the traction battery is superimposed over a charging strategy for controlling a charge state of the high-voltage traction battery, so that a load point shift is limited at the internal combustion engine to largely avoid unfavorable operating stats of the internal combustion engine.

  • Publication number: 20150367719
Abstract: A method for operating a hybrid drive device of a motor vehicle is disclosed, wherein the hybrid drive device includes an internal combustion engine, which can be operatively connected to a first axle of the motor vehicle, a first electric motor, which can also be operatively connected to the first axle of the motor vehicle, and a second electric motor, which can be operatively connected to a second axle of the motor vehicle. The electrical energy used for operating the second electric motor is generated in a first mode of operation by the first electric motor driven by the internal combustion engine while increasing the output of the internal combustion engine, and in a second mode of operation is derived exclusively from an energy storage device for electrical energy.

  • Patent number: 8676423
Abstract: It is known to charge the battery in a hybrid vehicle with a generator such that the efficiency (electric power per fuel quantity) is maximal. It is known that the consumption-optimized mode can be terminated in order to charge the battery faster. A mathematical calculation rule is applied to the optimal value of the efficiency in order to determine a value for an efficiency which then indicates a load point shift for the internal combustion engine. In particular, constant percentages can be used which are applied to the inverse efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20130211642
Abstract: An electric battery of a hybrid vehicle can be heated by alternately discharging and charging the battery during a cold start, wherein the battery initially does not supply power to drive the vehicle. Heating the battery can also be used to simultaneously change the charge state of the battery. The heating can be started immediately at the cold start, without the need to first bring the electric battery to a specific charge state.
