  • Patent number: 12662046
Abstract: A headlamp for vehicles that has a light source unit. Numerous light sources and/or light guides are controllable individually. A sensor unit for detects headlamp status data and/or vehicle environment data. A control unit for controlling the light sources and/or light guides generates a predefined light distribution for the headlamp. The range of the headlamp can be adjusted on the basis of sensor signals from the sensor unit. The control unit contains a control element for the light sources and/or light guides for projecting a guide marking onto a road surface. The control unit contains a compensator that compensates for deviations in the guide marking on the basis of a sensor signal generated by the sensor unit.

  • Patent number: 12630076
Abstract: A method for operating a light-based driver assistance system of a motor vehicle, wherein via at least one headlight of the motor vehicle, a light distribution is projected onto the roadway in front of the motor vehicle. The light distribution produces a lane marking, the width of which is essentially equal to the vehicle width of the motor vehicle and the course of which corresponds to a predicted lane course when the motor vehicle is driving. The method steps are carried out continuously when driving through a curve: predicting the lane course when driving through the curve, determining the point of intersection of the inner lane boundary with the light field limitation of a light field projectable onto the roadway when driving through the curve, setting a distal boundary of the lane marking, and projecting a light distribution onto the roadway in front of the motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 12635057
Abstract: A method for operating a circuit arrangement is provided. An illumination field has at least one first module and one second module that each comprise at least one light source and a controllable switching element. An open-loop and/or closed-loop controller for the illumination field is provided, wherein the controllable switching elements are controlled by the open-loop and/or closed-loop controller such that switch-on times and/or switch-off times are defined for each light source by the open-loop and/or closed-loop controller and such that the open-loop and/or closed-loop controller controls one and/or more controllable switching elements of the modules to close during the switch-on times and to open during the switch-off times. The switch-on times and/or switch-off times are determined based on a desired luminous intensity distribution of the individual modules or a desired overall luminous intensity distribution.

  • Patent number: 12623721
Abstract: A method is provided for projecting a guide line onto a road surface. An anticipated trajectory of the motor vehicle is calculated from the speed and steering angle of the motor vehicle. A guide line is projected onto a road surface in front of the motor vehicle. The guide line indicates the anticipated travel path. Whether the motor vehicle is starting a curve is detected based on the steering angle. The guide line contains the shape of a first clothoid in at least a first segment when it is detected that the motor vehicle is starting to travel in a curve.

  • Patent number: 12194912
Abstract: A method is provided for controlling a headlamp of a motor vehicle. An object is detected by an object detecting device of the motor vehicle. An angle is determined between a geometrical longitudinal axis of the motor vehicle passing through the object detecting device and a geometrical connecting line between the object detecting device and the object. A glare reduction range of the headlamp is determined using the angle without taking into account a total distance between the object and the motor vehicle, the headlamp illuminating the glare reduction range with a lower brightness than areas adjacent to the glare reduction range.
