Abstract: Various embodiments of the teachings herein include a DC network comprising: an electrical conductor; a switching unit arranged at one end of the conductor to break the electrical connection via the conductor, the switching unit including a controllable power semiconductor connected in series in the current path of the conductor; wherein the conductor includes a first section and a second section starting from the switching unit with a connection point between the first section and the second section; a first overvoltage protection apparatus connected between the connecting point and a second pole of the DC network; and a second overvoltage protection apparatus connected between that end of the second section remote from the switching unit and the second pole. The overvoltage protection apparatuses each have a capacitor.

Abstract: Methods and systems for improved analytics are provided. A Software as a Service (SaaS) platform may be implemented as a distributed system using a public infrastructure, such as a public cloud, and an on-premises infrastructure, such as a private cloud. A control plane for the SaaS platform may reside in the public cloud, while a data plane for the SaaS platform may reside in the on-premises private cloud.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the allocation of resources to address scope items against an iteration of a project based on a rule set described by a decision matrix and threshold values. Rather than changing work item start and end dates based on resource availability, the present invention adds, modifies, and removes content from a collection of scope item items and allocates them to resources based on the skills required, the priority, estimated work and target iteration of the scope item items.
