  • Patent number: 4759402
Abstract: Individual elongated radiant heat panel modules are secured together along their side edges to form a panel; and a plurality of transverse spaced-apart stiffeners are connected at a plurality of connection sites across the panel back to stiffen the panel and hold it fast. Each stiffener is fixedly connected to the panel at only one fixed connection site whereby to block relative movement between the stiffener and panel at said site; and each stiffener is additionally connected to the panel at a plurality of connection sites by spring clamps which hold the panel and modules thereof flat against the stiffener while permitting limited relative movement thereat between said stiffener and said panel. The connection sites on the stiffener are spaced therealong while the connections to the panels are at or adjacent the side edges of the individual modules. Adjacent individual modules are fixed to each other.

  • Patent number: 4723532
Abstract: A machine for repetitively throwing footballs by means of spaced apart confronting surfaces of spinning wheels. The machine includes a magazine with clamps for holding a plurality of footballs fixed in predetermined alignment for transfer for eventual throwing. A transfer arm is disclosed for sequentially transferring successive balls from the magazine to the throwing wheels while continuously holding them against misalignment until engagement by the throwing wheels. Several components of the machine are pivoted about a common axis to enable ball transfer without letting go of the balls. An operator's station and controls are provided so an operator can control all functions of the machine without touching the balls.

  • Patent number: 3972234
Abstract: A liquid level indicator as applied to an internal combustion engine, having a crankcase forming an oil reservoir therein, has conduit means extending downwardly generally into the reservoir with a lower open end of said conduit means being positioned at an elevation corresponding to a preselected minimum level of such oil within the reservoir. A cylinder chamber, connected to the other end of the conduit means, contains a manually depressable plunger-like piston which is resiliently urged in a first direction. When the piston plunger is fully depressed in a second direction (opposite to the first direction) the air within the cylinder chamber is displaced through the conduit means. Upon subsequent release of piston plunger, an associated spring urges the piston plunger in the first direction creating a reduced atmospheric pressure within the cylinder chamber.
