The method includes determining a joint optimized handover point for handover of parcels to the respective recipients and/or depositors within a specific handover period for a plurality of parcels from a multiplicity of possible handover points spatially separated from one another, taking into account at least one effort parameter of at least one respective recipient and/or at least one respective depositor. The joint optimized handover point is determined by a selection from the multiplicity of possible spatially separated handover points with at least one selection step, the selection step taking into account effort parameters for the recipients and/or the depositors for which at least one effort parameter for the respective recipients and/or depositors is decreased during a handover period for the parcels.

Abstract: A system for automatic loading of parcel delivery vehicles. The system includes at least one pick-up unit for picking up individual parcels, at least one transport unit for transporting parcels, at least one loading unit for loading parcel delivery vehicles and a control component, the parcel delivery vehicles being equipped with storage units accessible by the loading unit, and that the control component is arranged to control the loading process of a parcel delivery vehicle by the interaction of the pick-up unit, transport unit and loading unit and to store information about the position of each parcel in the storage unit and to make the information about the position of each parcel in the storage unit accessible to a delivery person upon reaching a handover location. The invention further relates to a parcel delivery vehicle suitable for usage in the system.

Abstract: A method for accepting return deliveries in an electronic parcel deposit box facility, which integrates various logistics service providers and/or customers and various user authorizations, while safeguarding the operator of the parcel deposit box facility against the abuse of the return delivery process. To verify the customer authorizations, the method for operating a parcel deposit box facility comprising several lockable deposit boxes compares recorded customer data with a stored customer profile. Operating functions for the deposit of return deliveries are only released for the customer if the verification is positive. Before a mail item can be deposited, the validity of the mailing information that is contained on the return delivery is also verified. Valid mailing information is assigned to a logistics service provider and is stored, whereas if the mailing information is invalid, no deposit box is released for the deposit.

An exemplary method comprises providing a data service via a network node, the data service being performed in a provider server of a service provider. The exemplary method also comprises performing a one-time printing of the label via a control program, such that an intelligent document is transmitted from the provider server via a network to a user client, the one-time printing being done if a network connection exists between the user client and the provider server, and if, on the basis of a query to the provider server, it has been ascertained that that label had not been printed before. The exemplary method additionally comprises transmitting a message from the user client to the provider server when the label is printed for the first time. The exemplary method further comprises logging the printing in the provider server in response to the message.

In addition, identification codes that had been allocated with a postage stamp that, however, had already served for a delivery of a postal article in a parcel compartment system, are likewise set to status 2. If an identification code, which has not been stored in the storage means or the status indicator thereof is 2, is detected when placing a postal article in a parcel compartment system, a processing means releases a signal.
