  • Publication number: 20150302704
Abstract: A gaming machine includes display means and a user interface to receive input in relation to displayed images, and a game controller configured to control images of symbols displayed on the display means and to play a primary game of chance. The game of chance includes emulating spinning and randomly stopping virtual reels to display an image of symbols in a matrix of symbol positions. The game controller determines a trigger event during the play of the primary game of chance, the trigger event including trigger event symbols composed of a predetermined number and a type of symbol, and in response to the trigger event, to reconfigure at least a subset of the matrix of symbol positions from the randomly stopped virtual reels, said subset excluding said trigger event symbols, the reconfigured subset of symbols defining a second screen feature which is distinct from the primary game of chance.

  • Publication number: 20150072767
Abstract: Embodiments relate to gaming machines and methods to be performed in relation to gaming machines. An example gaming machine comprises: a display screen; an input mechanism operable to receive an input from a user; a gaming controller configured to: (i) control a game play sequence comprising a presentation of one or more games of chance on the gaming machine; and (ii) in response to the received input from the user, generate and encrypt visual code from a set of data and display the encrypted visual code on the display screen, wherein the encrypted visual code includes a timestamp; wherein the displayed encrypted code is able to be captured by an external handheld device, and the visual code is dynamically re-generated upon each successive input from a user made through the input mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20150018075
Abstract: A gaming machine includes a player interface and an electronic controller arranged to control play of a game on the player interface. Prior to commencement of a bonus round, the electronic controller is arranged to display on the player interface a range of bonus features. Then in response to receiving via the player interface a player-selected bonus feature, the electronic controller determines a number of bonus games to be awarded to the player in the bonus round. The determination of the number of bonus games is randomized and is equalized so that a return to player percentage is at least equal to a predetermined return to player. The gaming machine is further arranged such that the player selected bonus feature applies to each and every awarded bonus game in the bonus round.

  • Publication number: 20140378205
Abstract: A gaming machine has a display to display images; a user interface to receive input from a player; a memory; a game controller configured to access the memory, control display of the images and process input received via the user interface. The game controller may control generation and display of a game of chance comprising a first inner wheel and at least a second concentric wheel. Each of the first inner wheel and the at least second concentric wheel comprising a plurality of segments having associated indicia, wherein the first inner wheel has fewer segments than the at least second concentric wheel or a subsequent concentric wheel. The game controller has random selection means including means for initiating simultaneous and independent rotation of each wheel; and (iii) control cessation of rotation of each of the wheels.
