  • Patent number: 6577916
Abstract: A method of carrying out a fiber or paper manufacturing process using a plurality of successive method steps is provided. Defined process steps are carried out by means of predefinable chemical and physical sequences and process optimization is performed, wherein at least those characteristic variables of all the individual method steps which influence the target variables of the respective end product of the method in a significant way are registered on-line to control or optimize the overall process. Characteristic variables are formed both on the basis of the starting materials or raw materials and of the chemicals, auxiliaries and energy supplied in the successive method steps as well as of the materials and emissions to be disposed of.

  • Publication number: 20020056531
Abstract: In a method for the carrying out of a flotation, bleach and/or dispersion process serving for the manufacture of fiber or paper while using one or more method stages in which process steps defined by pre-settable chemical and physical routines are carried out and process optimizations are made in dependence on measured values and characteristic values formed therefrom, optionally while using state models, at least the measured values of at least one method stage, which relevantly affect the target values of the respective end product of the method, are detected online and/or the characteristic values determined from the measured values of at least one method stage are evaluated online and used directly or indirectly for the control or optimization of at least one process, with characteristic values being formed in dependence on the starting materials or raw materials and/or on the chemicals, auxiliary materials, energies and/or materials and emissions to be disposed of, which are added in at least one method

  • Publication number: 20010010294
Abstract: The process is designed for the flotation of interfering materials from an aqueous fibrous pulp suspension and is in particular used in the processing of printed or used paper that is otherwise contaminated. The separation of gas bubbles of the suspension occurs in a flotation layer that has a maximum thickness of approximately 100 mm. The process also achieves good flotation results in fibrous pulp suspensions that have a fiber pulp content significantly larger than 1 % by weight, for example around 2% by weight. A flotation apparatus is provided for performing the flotation process. The apparatus includes a flotation vessel, an inlet, an outlet, and a skimmer device.
