  • Patent number: 11791652
Abstract: A power control system is provided for AC mains, including an input bridge rectifier connected to the AC power mains, and a buck regulator circuit connected to the DC output of the input bridge rectifier, the output of the buck regulator circuit providing a DC power output bus. A current sensor is connected to the output of the buck regulator circuit, and one or more capacitors is connected across the DC power output bus for receiving current from the buck regulator circuit. The buck regulator circuit is controlled to limit peak output current thereof.

  • Publication number: 20140049998
Abstract: A direct current to alternating current converter method and apparatus is disclosed that may comprise a direct current (DC) input source; an alternating current (AC) output inverter circuit, having an input connected across the DC input source; a partial power DC-DC boosting circuit intermediate to the DC input source and the DC input of the inverter stage, configured to increase the input voltage of the DC input source whenever the input voltage falls below a minimum required to synthesize an output waveform of a selected shape and a partial power DC-DC boosting circuit intermediate to the DC input source and the DC input of the inverter stage, configured to increase the input voltage of the DC input source during higher amplitude portions of inverter circuit output voltage waveform.

  • Patent number: 6078501
Abstract: An electronic module or package is disclosed for providing high reliability and high performance operation. The package comprises a hermetically sealed enclosure having a metallic baseplate and a ceramic cover, and containing one or more circuits or devices therein which typically are power rectifiers, bridges or power control circuitry. One or more power terminals are disposed on a terminal block compliantly supported on or above the baseplate, the terminals extending through the cover in hermetically sealed manner. Signal or control terminals may also be disposed on a terminal block compliantly supported on or above the baseplate, these terminals also extending through the cover in hermetically sealed manner. An adapter plate may be mounted on the cover and containing a plurality of terminals connected to the module terminals. The terminals of the adapter plate can be in any configuration to suit user requirements without requiring a change in the terminal configuration of the module itself.
