  • Patent number: 11888442
Abstract: A solar power generation system for providing a predetermined operating power level and predetermined operating voltage level requirement is provided. The system includes at least one solar-array panel. Each of the solar-array panels includes a multiplicity of PV solar sub cells. A preconfigured number of the PV solar sub cells are electrically connected in series to form a serial-unit or each forming an individual serial unit having just one PV solar sub cell. A preconfigured number of the serial units are electrically connected in series to form a string of serial-units. The PV solar sub cells are also connected in parallel to neighboring sub cells to form a crisscross matrix array that facilitates bypassing malfunctioning serial units, thereby improving the performance of the system. A PV solar sub cell is at least 50% smaller in area than a regular PV solar cell.

  • Publication number: 20230307574
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a Solar Sub-cells Crisscross matrix Array (SSCA) of solar sub-cells (SSC), wherein each row includes n SSC, and each column includes m SSC, the method includes: placing nXm of SSC onto a narrow sub-cells receptor conveyer belt configured to carry a stream of the SSC; transferring m rows of SSC to a wide array conveyor belt, one row at a time, forming thereon an array of the SSC; placing n busbars or groups of Smart Wire (SW) conductors on each of the n columns of SSC; placing short parallel jumpers between all pairs of neighboring the SSC in each of the m rows; placing wide transverse conductors for parallel connection of the n column and for diodes connection; and soldering the nXm matrix array of SSC with the short parallel jumpers and the wide transverse conductors, to thereby form a soldered SSCA.

  • Patent number: 11437536
Abstract: An improved solar power generation system, having at least one solar-array module. The solar cells in a solar-array module are interconnected in a crisscross matrix network configuration. The solar cells are a pre-sorted by the class of tolerance level of output power, such that the solar cells in each of the rows of solar cells are arranged in a steadily ascending (or steadily descending) order of the maximum power values that the solar cells are capable to provide, wherein the maximum power value of a solar cell in a particular row is higher or equal to the maximum power values of the previous (next, for steadily descending order) solar cells in the same row.

  • Publication number: 20220158015
Abstract: A solar power generation module is provided for maximizing the power generated from the module and minimizing the power degradation inflicted by light obstructions. The module includes solar cells arranged in a matrix of N columns and M rows. At least one pair of neighboring rows of solar cells is mechanically and electrically interconnected by single wide polymer conductor stripe that extends over at least two adjacent columns of the at least one pair of neighboring rows. All solar cells in each pair of neighboring rows of a mutual string, are electrically interconnected in series by at least one respective thin wire conductor embedded inside the polymer conductor stripe. At least one solar cell in each string of solar cells is electrically interconnected in parallel to one or two solar cells, situated in a mutual row of an adjacent string, by a parallelly-connection conductive means.

  • Patent number: 10868204
Abstract: A solar array module system for generating electric-power, preconfigured to prevent electric blockage of the module when a physical row of solar cells malfunctions. The module includes a matrix of X physical rows and Y columns of solar cells, electrically interconnected in a plain criss-cross matrix. The columns of the physical matrix are divided into a first side, numbering YL columns, and a second side, numbering Y-YL columns. The first side includes cells that are physically inverted relative to the cells of the second side. The negative side of the cell in the 1+nth physical row of column YL is electrically connected to the negative side of the cell in the X-nth physical row of column YL+1 (0?n<X). The positive side of the cell in the Xth physical row of column YL is electrically connected to the positive side of the cell in the 1st physical row of column YL+1.
