  • Patent number: 10888461
Abstract: The object of the invention relates to a field of devices for performing treatments in ophthalmology, preferably to a field of devices for selective laser trabeculoplasty and capsulotomy. The essence of a laser therapeutic device for performing treatments in ophthalmology lies in that it is based on a laser source with a short resonator based on a end pumping technique, wherein the pumping is ascertained by a VCSEL light source (vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser). Optimization of constructional and physical properties of a laser source is herewith achieved. The laser source meets all requirements for use in both above-mentioned treatments, wherein the device for capsulotomy is also suited for iridotomy and other surgeries, in which the effects of photodisruption are exploited.

  • Patent number: 9883971
Abstract: The object of the invention is a laser device for eye surgery used by ophthalmologists in the treatment with capsulotomy and iriditomy, and a device for selective laser trabeculoplasty. The essence of the ophthalmic laser combined device of the invention lies in that it has one single laser with one optical axis for both wavelengths; the basic wavelength of 1064 nm and the frequency doubled wavelength of 532 nm. Switching between both wavelengths is carried out by a polarization orientation switch. Frequency doubling is inactive at the wavelength of 1064 nm and it is active for the wavelength of 532 nm. At the wavelength of 532 nm additional optical elements for attenuating and collimating the laser pulse are switched on.

  • Patent number: 4672616
Abstract: The invention relates to a single-mode laser provided with a folded optical resonator, comprising a laser rod 1, resonator mirrors 3A, 3B deposited by evaporation on a single mirror plate 3, a stop 6 provided with two separate apertures 6A, 6B which are overlapped by the laser rod 1 when they are viewed along it and which are located so that the rays traversing the aperture 6A or 6B towards the resonator mirrors 3A, 3B, respectively, completely impinge only on the high reflecting resonator mirror 3A or on the semitransparent resonator mirror 3B, a foil Q-switch 5 and a reversing prism 4.The device according to the invention is compact, of moderate price and is provided with a dynamically stable optical resonator, it generating single-mode laser pulses with a divergence below 2 mrad, but with an energy about 15 mJ and with a width about 10 nsec. The device according to the invention is intended for use e.g. in ophthalmology or elsewhere where the laser pulses characterized above are required.
