  • Patent number: 9261524
Abstract: The invention relates to a positioning device for a sample distribution apparatus, such as a pipetting apparatus, providing a first part, at which a sample transport device can be arranged, a second part, at which a sample holder can be arranged, wherein the first part and the second part are arranged moveable in relation to each other between a first position and an adjusted target position of the first and second part for performing a positioning motion, such that a sample can be conveyed towards the sample holder by the positioning motion. The automated change of the target position assists for achieving an error-free positioning and sample distribution. A corresponding method for the automatical change of a position of a first part relative to a second part using the positioning device, is also claimed.

  • Patent number: 6917035
Abstract: A covering for apertures of reaction receptacles formed in a microtitration plate, including a hermetic, elastically deforming mat or foil, a frame, and connecting elements. The mat or foil, upon planar deposition on the microtitration plate and following compression, seals the apertures. The connecting elements are fitted onto at least one of the mat or foil and frame and detachably secure the mat or foil to the frame while creating a tension in the mat or foil implementing the connection. The frame (11, 110) is dimensioned so as to permit the frame to be deposited on the microtitration plate (13), such that the mat (12, 120) or foil rests in a planar manner on the microtitration plate, and such that the frame is accessible from above to a pressure and/or heat applying device.
