The lighted apparatus includes an exterior channel formed in the outer perimeter of the sole, one or more light sources mounted in the exterior channel, a protective covering surrounding the light source, one or more switches coupled to the light source, and one or more power sources operatively coupled to the one or more switches and the one or more light sources. In apparel, the one or more continuous light sources are removably attached to the garment.
