  • Publication number: 20230270337
Abstract: This disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for video detection of breathing rates in a subject, such as a sleeping baby. One or more video cameras may capture video of the subject. The video may be corrected and then a featured signal may be generated from the corrected video. A respiratory rate detector may be built to output a signal that represents breathing of the subject in the video. The signal may be corrected for any double detections. A breathing rate of the subject may be determined, and then the breathing rate of the subject may be output. In some examples, if the breathing rate is determined to be abnormal, an alarm or notification of the abnormality may be generated, or a moving platform on or in which the subject is sleeping may be moved.

  • Patent number: 9490935
Abstract: A method for blindly determining positioning reference signals in a wireless communication network determines a positioning reference signal (PRS) network configuration by estimating a PRS energy from predetermined locations of each subframe of an incoming signal. Such a method may also include blindly detecting PRS parameters based on the estimated PRS energy. The PRS energy may be peak energy responses for deep searches or verifications. The PRS energy may be a signal to signal plus noise ratio for shallow searches.

  • Publication number: 20160080106
Abstract: One or more sequences of binary values may be generated based on a length L and a duty cycle D, wherein duty cycle D denotes a percentage of a number of bits of value one in length L. Then, based on an identity of a cell, a sequence may be selected for use by a base station in muting its transmission of a positioning signal. The sequence which is selected may be used directly in muting with no change therein, or may be elongated followed by use of an elongated sequence in muting. When specific occasions are muted in the positioning signal, a mobile device may measure times of arrival of other positioning signals that are not muted. Two such measurements of arrival times may be used to compute a difference there between, for use as a difference measurement in a procedure to determine a location of the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 8620306
Abstract: A position location system, method, and apparatus are disclosed. A wireless device receives a first signal and obtains an identifier indicative of a first location from the first signal. The first signal can be received from a cellular base station and the first identifier can be a mobile country code. The wireless device uses the identifier to determine the availability of signals from a regional satellite system at the first location. If signals from the regional satellite system are available at the first location, the wireless device retrieves information associated with one or more satellite vehicles in the regional satellite system. The information can include pseudo-random number codes and a Doppler search range corresponding to the first location. The wireless device receives a second signal and processes the second signal to obtain first satellite signal information. The wireless device determines its position at least partially based on the first satellite signal information.

  • Patent number: 7877100
Abstract: A position determination system and apparatus for utilizing a network of cellular base stations to determine position of a mobile station includes taking a plurality of statistically independent data measurements of the pilot signals from the base stations. Each of the data measurements includes an earliest time of arrival, providing multiple independent measurements for each of the pilot signals. For each cellular base station, a representative measurement is calculated responsive to the independent measurements, which is used to determine position of the mobile station using an AFLT algorithm and/or in conjunction with a GPS algorithm. In some embodiments, the data measurements for each pilot signal further include an RMSE estimate and time of measurement for each time of arrival, and an energy measurement for all resolvable paths. If the mobile station comprises a cell phone, a cell search list and a GPS search list may be provided by a cell base station.
