Abstract: A method for enabling establishment of at least one Packet Data Network (PDN) connection between a wireless communication device and a communication network, and a wireless communication device performing the method of enabling establishment of at least one PDN connection with a communication network. The method comprises detecting whether connectivity to an Information Centric Networking (ICN) network is available via the at least one PDN connection for transporting ICN data.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for distributing time-controlled media. A media chunk is encrypted using cryptographic materials and sending the encrypted media chunk over a media channel. The cryptographic materials are distributed over a time-guaranteed control channel such that the cryptographic materials are received by a remote receiver node after the remote receiver receives the encrypted media chunk. The receiver node receives the encrypted media chunk over the media channel and stores the encrypted media chunk in a memory at the receiver node. The receiver node also receives the cryptographic materials over the time guaranteed channel, and uses the cryptographic materials to decrypt the encrypted media chunk. In this way, the receiver node cannot render the media chunk until it has received the cryptographic materials.

Abstract: A set of globally-reachable attachment registers is provided for interconnected communications networks and hosts. At least some of the networks and hosts each has a corresponding attachment register. The attachment registers are not located with their respective network or host. Information is stored in the attachment registers that establishes one or more logical links between the attachment registers. The information in certain ones of the attachment registers is used to perform one or more network communication functions. Non-limiting example functions include location registration and update, name to global locator resolution, routing, multi-homing, dynamic ISP selection, and handover.
