  • Patent number: 10080017
Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for reduction of I-pulsing artifacts. In one example, a portion of a picture is modified to be encoded as an I picture based in part upon a picture that precedes the picture. The modification can reduce an I-pulsing artifact associated with the I picture. The modified picture is intra-coded for inclusion in a series of encoded pictures, which may then be transmitted. In another example, an encoder includes adaptive pre-processing circuitry and intra-encoding processing circuitry. The pre-processing circuitry modifies a portion of a first picture based in part upon a second picture that precedes the first picture in a series of video pictures. For example, the modification may be based upon coding noise associated with the preceding picture. The intra-encoding processing circuitry encodes the modified picture as an I picture.

Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for reduction of I-pulsing artifacts. In one example, among others, a method includes modifying at least a portion of a picture to be encoded as an I picture based at least in part upon a picture that precedes the picture. The modification can reduce an I-pulsing artifact associated with the I picture. The modified picture is intra-coded for inclusion in a series of encoded pictures, which may then be transmitted. In another example, an encoder includes adaptive pre-processing circuitry configured to modify at least a portion of a first picture based at least in part upon a second picture that precedes the first picture in a series of video pictures. For example, the modification may be based upon coding noise associated with the preceding picture. Intra-encoding processing circuitry is configured to encode the modified picture as an I picture.

  • Publication number: 20070194749
Abstract: Apparatus for providing a contact-less, bi-directional communication link between a power supplying module (PS) and a power consuming module (PC) having two links, one (L1) used for power, clock, and upstream data transfer, the other (L2) used as downstream data link. PS contains a power supply circuit and PC contains a simple rectifier. The non-rectified output of L1 is used to provide the clock to PC. Amplitude variations of the signal driving L1 are detected and used in PC (upstream data link). Data is transmitted from PC to PS by tapping the non-rectified signal from the output of L1, passing it through a switch, which alternates its polarity before being fed into L2. The phase relationship between signals at the input of L1 and the output of L2 provides the means for the downstream data transfer.

  • Publication number: 20030014641
Abstract: A method and apparatus for utilizing a random token, preferably a non-repetitive “dumb token”, for secure access by authorized users to sensitive information, specifically as a part of a system where the security algorithm and/or the password cannot be modified and/or updated during consecutive data exchange sessions. The token is generated by the Token Generator (TG) and should be presented in machine readable form to a Token Processor (TP). The TP uses the token in order to generate a secure key and an encoding sequence. The key, which may be time varying, should be sent back to the TG where it is used to generate a decoding sequence. The TP encodes the secure information using the encoding sequence and sends it to the TG, which decodes the secure information using the decoding sequence.
