  • Publication number: 20200354999
Abstract: A door assembly includes a frame having interconnected wires that define an opening for an animal to pass therethrough, and a door having interconnected wires and being coupled to the frame. A latch assembly has a handle structure and a pin. The handle structure is pivotable with respect to one of the door and the frame, and the pin is movable axially with respect to one of the door and the frame. A first wire of the plurality of wires of the frame forms a key hole assembly. The key hole assembly defines an aperture for receiving the pin when the door is in a latched position with respect to the frame. A tab assembly is formed by at least one wire of the door and is disposable behind at least one of the plurality of wires of the frame in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 10660298
Abstract: A side of an animal enclosure including a plurality of interconnected horizontal and vertical wires, where the plurality of horizontal wires includes a top wire and a bottom wire, and the plurality of vertical wires includes a first end wire and a second end wire. A plurality of hooked ends are formed at the ends of either the plurality of horizontal wires or the plurality of vertical wires. The top wire, the bottom wire, the first end wire, and the second end wire define an outer periphery of the first member, and the plurality of hooked ends extend beyond the outer periphery defined by the top wire, the bottom wire, the first end wire, and the second end wire. The top wire, bottom wire, first end wire and second end wire do not form a hooked end at any of their respective ends.

  • Publication number: 20200068842
Abstract: A door assembly for an animal enclosure includes a door frame and a door each having a plurality of interconnected horizontal and vertical wires. The door frame defines an opening for an animal to pass therethrough, and the door is slidably coupled to the door frame such that it moves between an open position and a closed position relative to the door frame to allow egress and ingress through the opening. A catch member is coupled to the door frame. A latch includes a base member, a bolt, and a lever portion. A first vertical wire and a second vertical wire of the door are spaced from one another such that the first vertical wire is at a first end of the door and the second vertical wire is at a second end of the door. In the closed position, the bolt is coupled to the first vertical wire.

  • Patent number: 10420319
Abstract: Door frame assembly that includes a frame that defines an opening therein for allowing access therethrough. The door frame also includes a door pivotably coupled to a first vertical wire of the of the frame for pivoting the door between an open position and a closed position. The door frame further includes a first coupling mechanism and a second coupling mechanism. The first coupling mechanism releasably couples the door to the frame and is formed by a first horizontal wire. The first horizontal wire forms a hooked end protruding outward toward the door and spaced inwardly of the frame to intersect with the opening. The second coupling mechanism releasably couples the door to the frame. The second coupling mechanism includes a portion configured to limit movement of the door relative to the frame until the second portion is pivoted in a direction toward the door.
