Abstract: A system ranks pharmaceutical and other regimens for the treatment of chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes) to optimize the patient, medical, financial, and operational aspects of drug therapy using a combination of data impossible for a human to consume and process within any useful period of time. A scoring algorithm balances estimated cost, intolerance, benefit, and efficacy, using information from the patient's medical history, personal preference, drug manufacturers, clinical trial data, and other sources (e.g., insurance payment data) for every possible therapy and combination of therapies. This creates a patient specific regimen (i.e., solution or combination of therapies) that is cost effective with minimal side effects and maximal benefit which is specific to each patient instead of each doctor having a standard regimen for every patient (many of whom it is not effective for). Bodies change over time and the system can continually update the best personalized regimen.
