  • Publication number: 20250001374
Abstract: A drinking vessel includes a fluid reservoir for containing a first fluid, a first tube extending from the fluid reservoir to an outlet at a distal end of the first tube and configured to carry the first fluid to the outlet responsive to the user drinking from the drinking vessel, a mixing chamber positioned along the first tube between the fluid reservoir and the outlet, one or more pumps fluidly coupled with the mixing chamber and configured to dispense one or more additives into the mixing chamber to be mixed with the first fluid, an airflow sensor configured to detect that the user is drinking from the drinking vessel, and a controller configured to activate at least one of the one or more pumps according to a selected dosing profile responsive to detecting that the user is drinking from the vessel.

  • Publication number: 20190091692
Abstract: In a polymer assay cartridge having wells containing reagents, beads and sample, where the wells are covered (e.g., with ParafilmĀ® or films) and shipped to the point of care, the reagents and well contents can leak out. The reagent solutions are made semi-solid by adding hydrogel reagents and cooling to form a gel.

  • Patent number: 10195609
Abstract: In a polymer assay cartridge having wells containing reagents, beads and sample, where the wells are covered (e.g., with ParafilmĀ® or films) and shipped to the point of care, the reagents and well contents can leak out. The reagent solutions are made semi-solid by adding hydrogel reagents and cooling to form a gel. Preferably, the hydrogel is heated before an assay is conducted with the cartridge, and pigmented beads in the wells indicate melting or excessive heating, or congealing of the hydrogel, based on pigment color change.

  • Patent number: 7121687
Abstract: An LED lamp having a support with a metal substrate and a center portion with projecting wings. An electrically insulating, thermally conductive circuit is affixed to the substrate; and at least one LED is positioned on each wing with electrically conductive traces connected thereto. The center portion is planar. The wings are bent at multiple angles forming legs, a first angle being greater than 90 degrees, a second angle being normal to the planar center portion. The preferred center portion is pentagonal. The bulb cooperates with a socket that comprises a base; a hollow pedestal extending from the base, the pedestal having a polygonal interior; a thermally conductive, core having an exterior matching the interior; a gap between interior walls of the interior and exterior walls; and a plurality of electrical contacts positioned in the gap for contacting the traces when the bulb is inserted in the socket.

  • Patent number: 7121691
Abstract: A lamp assembly includes a thermally conductive post aligned in an axial direction, a light emitting diode (LED) at an axial end of the post, a first arched reflector that reflects light from the LED and that has an apex generally aligned along the axial direction and that is removably attached to the post, and a second reflector surrounding the post at a base of the post, where the second reflector reflects in the axial direction light that has been reflected from the first reflector.
