  • Patent number: 10494203
Abstract: A sweep auger apparatus includes an attachment plate having a first and second sides. The first side has attachment features to attach the attachment plate to mobile equipment. A first rotatable shaft is secured to the second side of the attachment plate. A central axis of the first rotatable shaft extends in a first direction. A first motor is connected to the first rotatable shaft to cause the first rotatable shaft to rotate. An auger support member is connected to the first rotatable shaft so as to rotate with a rotation of the first rotatable shaft. A second rotatable shaft is secured to the auger support member, and a central axis of the second rotatable shaft extends in a second direction that is transverse to the first direction. A second motor is connected to the second rotatable shaft to cause the second rotatable shaft to rotate, thereby rotating an auger.
