  • Publication number: 20210143565
Abstract: Aspects described herein may allow for a plug-in device including a base having a plurality of apertures extending therethrough. A first PCB has a first surface defining a first plane, and a plurality of pins connected to and extending outwardly from the first surface, with each pin being received in one of the apertures of the base. A bracket secures the first PCB to the base. A second PCB is secured to the bracket, extending outwardly from the first PCB and defining a second plane, with the second plane being at an acute angle with respect to the first plane. An antenna housing is secured to the bracket and the second PCB and includes at least a first antenna. A cover is releasably secured to the base.

  • Patent number: 8128414
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention provide a system that supports (1) the development and administration of instructional materials and/or programs, (2) the development, administration, scoring, and reporting of assessment materials and/or programs, and/or (3) the integration of instruction with assessment materials and/or programs. The system achieves this by organizing the content in these materials and programs into learning targets and ordering the learning targets to reflect the pre-cursor/post-cursor relationships among the learning targets.

  • Publication number: 20070292823
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides a system and method for creating a learning map, which is a device for expressing hypothesized learning target dependencies within any domain of knowledge of skill acquisition. The system and method are also able to utilize multiple data types and sources to assess whether the learning target dependencies expressed by a learning map are accurate and are configured to modify the learning map as necessary so that the learning map conforms to the reality of how students learn.

  • Patent number: 5281454
Abstract: A novel joint for connecting a closed composite adherend utilizes complementary scarf surfaces on the adherends and then bonds the adherends together. The angle of the scarf is determined by the materials used and the expected loads. Preferably, constant stiffness is achieved through the joint. In alternative embodiments, lap joint areas are included to create localized stress free zones. A method of creating the scarf surfaces utilizes a wrapping technique in which the edges of a lamina of composite material are prepared so as to provide a desired edge termination which permits each layer to be bonded to the adjacent adherend.
