A medial bridging element connects the cords and is slidably adjustable along the length of the cords to enhance the placement of appropriate retention forces on a case stacked upon the wheeled carrying case and positioned against a telescoping handle. An adjustable spacing plate is provided to fit over the telescoping handle and includes frictional material on one side to insure retention of the spacing plate and the assembly with the telescoping handle.
