Abstract: Systems and methods provide for recruiting and matching patients for clinical trials using a network-based software platform which publicizes clinical trials, recruits patients for participation in the clinical trials, and obtains patient profile information to match patients with appropriate clinical trials based on medical and behavioral compatibility. Patients may be recruited to join clinical trials through online networking and referrals using social media and other electronic communication managed by the software platform. The software platform provides a user interface where patients can input profile information, search for clinical trials and view interactive clinical trial information pages. Patient profile information and clinical trial information may be used to generate a match score which indicates a patient's compatibility with a particular clinical trial and a compliance score which indicates a patient's likelihood of success in participating in the clinical trial.
