Abstract: Disclosed is a lance apparatus for cleaning the tubes of a tube bundle. The apparatus comprises a gantry adapted to be snugly and rotably secured to an annular flange such that, the gantry rotates over the flange as supported by the flange, the gantry comprising at least one elongate guide, a support member receiving the at least one guide therethrough such that, the support member slides along the length of the at least one guide, the rotary motion of the gantry imparted to the support member, and a carriage for receiving at least one lance therethrough, which, in turn, is to be introduced into one or more tubes, the carriage supported by the support member such that, the rotary motion of the support member is not imparted to the carriage.
