Patent number: 11915598Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for fleet management of unmanned aerial vehicles, including flight authorization. One of the methods includes maintaining one or more rules associated with authorizing UAVs to implement flight plans. A request to generate a flight plan associated with a job is received, the request including information indicating a flight pattern comprising, at least, one or more waypoints associated with geospatial references. The flight plan is generated based on the request, and an initial authorization check is determined based on the maintained rules and the generated flight plan. Upon a positive determination, access to the generated flight plan is provided by a ground control system, and the flight plan is implemented.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2021Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: Skydio, Inc.Inventors: Jason de la Cruz, Brad Mandala, Charles Taylor, Edward Dale Steakley

Patent number: 9605791Abstract: A post mounting system includes a post and at least one device for mounting to the post. The post includes a first elongate flange and at least one other elongate flange projecting from a proximal edge of the first flange. A portion of the first flange is deformed to facilitate mounting of the device. The device is located at a given position along the first flange. Upon being located in the given position, the device interacts with the deformed portion to resist lateral movement away from the first flange. The device can include a body and projections that define a recess. Remote ends of the projections are spaced from each other by a distance that is less than a lateral width of the deformed portion. The device can be positioned onto the post and receive the deformed portion in the recess to enable mounting of the device.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 2014Date of Patent: March 28, 2017Assignee: Onesteel Wire Pty LimitedInventors: Warren John Howlett, Mark White, Brad Taylor

Publication number: 20150233141Abstract: A post that comprises at least one elongate flange with one or more spaced apertures therethrough is disclosed. A given one of the apertures is located and configured to be elongate, whereby a longitudinal axis of the given aperture is generally parallel to or aligned with an elongate axis of the flange. Configuration of the aperture, as presently disclosed, has surprisingly been shown to assist with the prevention of failure of the post at the aperture when a bending moment is applied to the post in a first instance. The post may be employed in applications such as fencing, demarcation, signage, retention, barricades etc.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 19, 2013Publication date: August 20, 2015Inventors: Brad Taylor, Mark White

Patent number: 8626753Abstract: Methods and apparatus provide for a personalization search engine that receives a search query from a first user and identifies multiple portions of indexed content—where each respective portion of indexed content has metadata that matches at least one characteristic of the search query. The personalization search engine determines a relevance of each respective portion of indexed content to the first user who provided the search query. It is understood that, in various embodiments, the relevance of a portion of indexed content has to the first user who provided the search query can be based on user feedback associated with an online version of that portion of indexed content. The personalization search engine ranks the multiple portions of indexed content according to their respective relevance to the first user who provided the search query and creates a search result based on ranking the multiple portions of indexed content.Type: GrantFiled: August 17, 2012Date of Patent: January 7, 2014Inventors: Anshu Aggarwal, Brad Taylor

Patent number: 5882424Abstract: An apparatus and method for cleaning the interior of a vacuum chamber of a plasma reactor which includes introducing an etchant gas through inlet ports into the vacuum chamber and applying RF power to a RF plasma excitation apparatus so as to ignite and sustain a plasma within the chamber. The frequency of the RF signal is less than 1 MHz. Alternately, an apparatus and method for cleaning the aforementioned vacuum chamber where at least two different RF power signals can be employed. In one embodiment of this alternate method the step of applying RF power involves providing a first and second RF signal, where each signal exhibits a different frequency. The first RF signal is of a higher frequency and provided to ignite a plasma within the chamber, and thereafter terminated, whereas the second RF signal is of a lower frequency, less than 1 MHz, and provided to sustain the plasma.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 1997Date of Patent: March 16, 1999Assignee: Applied Materials, Inc.Inventors: Brad Taylor, Turgut Sahin, Charles Dornfest, Fritz Redeker

Patent number: 5857109Abstract: A real time video processing system adds a programmable logic device between a conventional frame buffer and a conventional digital to analog converter to provide real time and off-screen processing power to enhance video output capabilities. The system may include a history FIFO connected to deliver the preceding line to the programmable logic device, allowing operations on a pixel in the current line, modified as needed by the status of one or more nearby pixels. The system may also include inputs for multiple video sources and may include input FIFOs for more random access to portions of the input stream. An alternative form of the system includes a crossbar switch and multiple memory devices, to allow switching among several possible frame buffer devices. One or more processing units can be added to manipulate a memory which is not the active frame buffer. The programmable logic device can be loaded with a configuration file stored in an associated memory or loaded from a host computer.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 1995Date of Patent: January 5, 1999Assignee: Giga Operations CorporationInventor: Brad Taylor
