  • Patent number: 7314145
Abstract: A rail slideably supports transparent checkout dividers with open bottoms in an upright position along a sidewall of a checkout conveyor. The rail has a perpendicular wall formed on a base. The base is affixed to the top of the sidewall or into a channel formed on the sidewall and the dividers are slid along the rail towards a distal end for access by the customers. A stop prevents the dividers from leaving the rail at the distal end. The perpendicular wall extends upwards into an open bottom in the checkout dividers and keeps the dividers in the upright position allowing any advertising displayed thereon to be un-obscured and oriented to be visible at all times.

  • Patent number: 7284347
Abstract: A transparent divider to be used at checkout conveyors for separating one customers order from the next customers order. The divider is an elongate bar which has an open bottom for ease of stacking or sliding along a checkout rail. A slot is formed in the side walls of the divider into which a sheet of printed advertisement can be folded and slid. The advertisement is visible, preferably on all side walls of the divider.
