  • Patent number: 11951596
Abstract: A rotary impact tool includes a motor housing, an electric motor supported in the motor housing, and a drive assembly for converting a continuous torque input from the motor to consecutive rotational impacts upon a workpiece. The drive assembly includes an anvil including an anvil lug and a hammer that is both rotationally and axially movable relative to the anvil. The hammer includes a hammer lug for imparting the consecutive rotational impacts upon the anvil lug. The rotary impact tool further comprises a printed circuit board assembly including a sensor that is configured to detect rotation of the anvil. The printed circuit board assembly is spaced from the anvil to define an axial gap therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20230302611
Abstract: An impact tool including a housing, a motor supported within the housing, a camshaft configured to be rotated by the motor, a hammer supported on the camshaft and configured to reciprocate along the camshaft, and an anvil configured to receive intermittent torque application from the hammer, the anvil including an impact receiving portion having a plurality of anvil lugs, a driving end portion opposite the impact receiving portion, the driving end portion configured to be coupled to a tool element, and a stress reducer formed in the impact receiving portion. The hammer is configured to reciprocate along the camshaft and impart rotational impacts to the plurality of anvil lugs, and the stress reducer is configured to dissipate stresses in the impact receiving portion caused by impacts from the hammer.

  • Publication number: 20140336901
Abstract: A method to protect a high-pressure fuel pump in a diesel-engine system includes enabling the high-pressure fuel pump when fuel pressure in the diesel-engine system is above a threshold, and disabling the high-pressure fuel pump if the fuel pressure is below the threshold. In this manner, the high-pressure fuel pump is protected from premature wear and failure due to inadequate lubrication.

  • Publication number: 20120272564
Abstract: A fishing rig for use in catching fish is described herein. The fishing rig includes a leader that extends between a first end and a second end, and a plurality of bait elements that are coupled to the leader. The plurality of bait elements includes a first bait element that is coupled to the leader and is oriented between the leader first end and the leader second end. At least one second bait element is coupled to the leader and oriented downline of the first bait element along the leader such that the first and second bait elements display a schooling-type action to facilitate attracting fish to the fishing rig.

  • Patent number: 6019089
Abstract: An orientation clip (42) has an axially- and circumferentially-united attachment with a fuel injector (13) to orient the fuel injector circumferentially within a cup (32) on a fuel manifold (30). The clip has axially extending orientation tabs (46) that pass through open spaces provided by notches (56) in the rim of the cup to circumferentially locate the clip to the cup, and hence the fuel injector to the cup.

  • Patent number: 5842450
Abstract: A retaining clip includes a cantilever arm which engages an exterior tab affixed to the outer surface of the retaining clip. The inner surface of the cantilever arm and the outer surface of the engaging tab both include a number of serrated catches. The catches are situated such that the inner surface catches of the cantilever arm are opposing the outer surface catches of the engaging tab. When the retaining clip is engaged, the serrated catches form a secure mesh. The retaining clip also includes a latch which further secures the engaged clip while also providing a means of unfastening the clip without specialized tools.
