  • Publication number: 20060218231
Abstract: A communication method and system that allows a remote application to reside on any node in an enterprise and to communicate with other remote applications in any node in the enterprise across the network, linking local applications on these nodes with one another. In one embodiment, the remote applications use a single port.
    Type: Application
    Filed: July 12, 2004
    Publication date: September 28, 2006
    Applicant: Computer Associates Think, Inc.
    Inventor: Bradford Davis
  • Publication number: 20060101472
Abstract: Software development kit (SDK) that enables development of client server applications in heterogeneous networked environments is provided. In one embodiment, the SDK provides server and client class objects for transferring objects among threads and application.
    Type: Application
    Filed: July 12, 2004

  • Publication number: 20050188082
Abstract: A system and method for standardizing clocks in the heterogeneous networked environment is provided. In one aspect the duration of time that a message takes to travel from a source machine to a destination machine is decomposed into actual duration time T for transmission, and time difference C between the source machine and the destination machine. Two T's for each leg of a round trip transmission is determined and t˜ using the two T's is estimated. A measure of each leg of round trip transmission is determined using t˜ and C. An offset for a machine within a known delta is established.

  • Publication number: 20050022199
Abstract: Event processor system and method for job scheduling and management applications are provided. A single process event processor comprises a plurality of threads enabled to handle one or more events. Each of the plurality of threads is asynchronous and has a database connection.
    Type: Application
    Filed: July 12, 2004
    Publication date: January 27, 2005
    Inventor: Bradford Davis
  • Publication number: 20050022195
Abstract: A system and method for scheduling and managing computer applications is provided. In one embodiment, an event processor dispatches messages to run a job to an agent module residing on a local or remote node. The agent module, upon receiving the messages, spawns processes to run the job, returning status notifications of the running job to the event processor.
    Type: Application

    Publication date: January 27, 2005
    Inventors: Bradford Davis, Nick Minchenko
  • Publication number: 20050010923
Abstract: A trigger support system and method for a bi-directional job broker is provided. One or more action requests, or triggers, are registered, for example, by a manager job scheduler or a broker. The one or more action requests are associated with one or more jobs scheduled to run on a client job scheduler. A broker communicates the one or more action requests to the client job scheduler. The client job scheduler takes an action based on the one or more action requests and reports the result of the action to the manager job scheduler.

  • Patent number: 6493651
Abstract: A system which derives the attitude of a body as it rotates and travels through the earth's magnetic field. At least one magnetometer is placed in the body and provides an output signal during flight of the body. The zero crossings of the output signal are used to formulate a time discriminant. This time discriminant is compared with a roll angle discriminant for which a value of attitude has been previously determined. From the comparison, the attitude during flight may be determined. A time discriminant can also be formulated using two magnetometers.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 18, 2000
Date of Patent: December 10, 2002
Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the Army
Inventors: Thomas E. Harkins, David J. Hepner, Bradford Davis
