Abstract: A curved display integrates in a portable information handling system housing to present visual images to an end user about an arc for improved viewing angle. The portable information handling system rotates the housing from an open position that exposes the display in a curved configuration to a closed position that brings the display against a main housing portion with the display transitioned from the curved to a planar configuration for a low profile storage position. Display curve is managed with a curved support frame that bends to a planar form, a pair of perpendicular-axis hinges that rotate opposing housings about a horizontal axis and manage display curve about a vertical axis, and a dual axis hinge with a sliding bracket that adjusts for greater housing spacing in the curved configuration.

Abstract: A wireless keyboard module, portable electronic device and methods for charging and pairing a wireless keyboard module to a portable electronic device are provided herein. According to one embodiment, the wireless keyboard module includes a wired connector configured to electrically connect to a wired connector on a back surface of the portable electronic device when the wireless keyboard module is mounted onto the back surface of the portable electronic device. Upon connecting the wired connectors of the wireless keyboard module and the portable electronic device, the wireless keyboard module is configured to receive a charging signal from the portable electronic device and configured to transmit a pairing code to the portable electronic device across the wired connectors.

Abstract: A computer system including a chassis having two spaced apart walls, a transverse wall attached between the two spaced apart walls and a door pivotally attached to a first one of the two spaced apart walls. The door is movable between an open position and a closed position with respect to a second one of the two spaced apart walls. A first retaining pin is attached to the transverse wall. A second retaining pin is attached to the door. A mechanism is attached to the chassis for securing the door in the closed position. A peripheral device is mounted in the chassis. The first retaining pin is engaged with a first mounting hole in a first face of the peripheral device and the second mounting pin is engaged with a second hole in the second face of the peripheral device. The hinged or removable door allows the peripheral device to be cabled to the other components inside the computer before they are installed in the chassis.
