Publication number: 20120032035Abstract: An apparatus for supporting utility lines extending between a vehicle and a trailer comprises an elastically deformable rod having a first end and a second end, an attachment feature for attaching utility lines to the apparatus, and a mounting base for mounting the apparatus to a surface. The attachment feature is disposed or configured to be disposed proximate the first end of the rod. The mounting base is disposed or configured to be disposed at the second end of the rod. In another embodiment, the apparatus comprises a first portion comprising a shaft having a first and a second end, a second portion integral with the first portion comprising a spring, an attachment feature for attaching utility lines to the apparatus configured to be disposed proximate the first end of the shaft, and a mounting feature associated with the second portion for mounting the apparatus to a surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 2, 2011Publication date: February 9, 2012Inventors: Bradford J. Publication number: 20030071039Abstract: A storage system in which a base is preferably molded of a lightweight polymeric material and includes a peripheral raised edge for hingedly receiving front, rear, and end walls. The end walls of one embodiment are foldable, such that they collapse integrally with the front and rear walls. Each of the front, rear and end walls can be folded flat for compact storage of the system.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 15, 2002Publication date: April 17, 2003Applicant: Johnson Controls Technology CompanyInventors: David J. Patent number: 6132128Abstract: A polymeric torque control is secured to a vehicle armrest and includes an integrally molded coupling surrounding an aperture for receiving and lockably mounting the torque control to a pivot axle extending from a vehicle support member. The integrated coupling is defined by an arcuate slot extending through the torque member in concentric spaced relationship to a pivot axle aperture. A transverse slot in the torque member communicates with the arcuate slot to define a pair of resilient arms having, in the preferred embodiment, outwardly projecting tabs at their free ends extending in a direction orthogonal to the plane of the torque member. Such construction allows a tool, such as a flat-bladed screwdriver, to be easily inserted between the ends of the arcuate arms for deflecting the arms outwardly from the pivot axle, which they surround, to release the armrest from a captive circumferential recess in the pivot axle for removal of the armrest.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 1998Date of Patent: October 17, 2000Assignee: Prince CorporationInventor: Bradford J. Patent number: 5170980Abstract: A subdividable storage bin is provided for a vehicle which includes a divider movably mounted therein, which moves between a use position dividing the bin into separate areas and a stored position leaving the bin substantially undivided. In one embodiment, the divider pivotally rotates into position. In another embodiment, the divider slideably rotates into position. In still other embodiments, the divider resiliently flexes into position. In another embodiment, the divider slips or is dropped into position and is removable for cleaning, washing or storing.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 1991Date of Patent: December 15, 1992Assignee: Prince CorporationInventors: Bradford J. Patent number: 5015034Abstract: An upholstery system for a vehicle accessory includes a substrate with a U-shaped channel adjacent an edge and including a lip extending from one wall. A trim member includes spaced locking tabs which underlie the lip for compressibly holding an edge of upholstery material in the channel. In one embodiment, pins in the trim ring extend through the material and into apertures in an outer flange of the channel. In another embodiment, the locking tabs are formed on the substrate and the trim member includes interengaging locking slots.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 1990Date of Patent: May 14, 1991Assignee: Prince CorporationInventors: Alan L.
