  • Publication number: 20180096369
Abstract: Method for automating presentation of data and content is disclosed. According to the method, electronic information to be provided about a poll may be configured, so as to create a configuration. The electronic information may comprise statistics about the poll. The configuration may be conditional based on a parameter or static. The configuration may indicate what electronic information is to be provided in response to a user request for additional information regarding the poll. The configuration may be stored in a content repository. In response to the user request, the electronic information to be provided based on the configuration may be retrieved. • Patent number: 9600011
Abstract: Various arrangements of controlling a temperature of an enclosure are presented. A setpoint temperature may be received by a thermostat from a user via an energy management device. The setpoint temperature may indicate a desired temperature of the enclosure. The thermostat may be operated in accordance with the setpoint temperature. Energy consumption associated with the thermostat may be monitored. The monitored energy consumption may be compared to an energy usage profile. Based on such a comparison, at least one adjustment to the operation of the thermostat may be determined that will reduce energy consumption associated with the thermostat as compared to the energy consumption associated with operating the thermostat in accordance with the setpoint temperature.

  • Patent number: 9111055
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system and method for emulating smart grid devices in a smart grid for demand-response program analysis and optimization. Smart grid devices may be emulated in a virtual environment on a server, and can also be emulated individually on smart grid devices themselves. Demand-response programs can be simulated in a virtual environment with virtual emulated smart grid devices, or they can be simulated in a hybrid real-virtual environment with both real smart grid devices and virtual emulated smart grid devices. Demand-response programs can be simulated serially or in parallel. Additionally, such hybrid demand-response program simulations can be enhanced and optimized by including data obtained from the real smart grid devices into the simulation feed-back loop.
