  • Publication number: 20240041746
Abstract: A skin care composition that contains a combination of a vitamin B3 compound, palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, acetyl tetrapeptide-11, and a dermatologically acceptable carrier. The combination of vitamin B3 compound, palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, and acetyl tetrapeptide-11 increases activation of a cell's Antioxidant Response Element (ARE), (e.g., synergistically) to improve a visible sign of skin aging.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 17, 2023
    Publication date: February 8, 2024
Inventors: Leo Timothy LAUGHLIN, II, Michael Joseph FLAGLER, Bradley Bryan JARROLD, Lisa Ann MULLINS, Joseph Daniel SHERRILL, Makio TAMURA

  • Patent number: 10405795
Abstract: A method and system for classifying different types of periorbital dyschromia is disclosed. The method includes providing at least one of a predetermined imaging characteristic and a biological characteristic for each of three different types of periorbital dyschromia, and then measuring the appropriate characteristic on a person exhibiting periorbital dyschromia. The type of periorbital dyschromia exhibited by a person can then be determined by comparing the measured value to the predetermined value and selecting the corresponding type of periorbital dyschromia.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 9383462
Abstract: A seismic generation system may include an electrical source, a conductor coupled to the electrical source and to be positioned in a wellbore in a subterranean formation with a casing therein, and a seismic generation source assembly to be positioned in the wellbore and coupled to the conductor. The seismic generation source assembly may include a source element having a sealed housing, an armature within the sealed housing, source electromagnets coupled to the armature, and electromagnetic clamps coupled to the armature, each electromagnetic clamp having opposite magnetic poles. The sealed housing may include respective ferromagnetic portions adjacent the opposite magnetic poles of each electromagnetic clamp, and non-ferromagnetic portions between the opposite magnetic poles of each electromagnetic clamp.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 18, 2012
Date of Patent: July 5, 2016
    Assignee: SCHLUMBERGER TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION
Inventors: James Minto, Robert Lanza, Bradley Bryans, Leo M. Dekkers, Shantonu Ray
  • Publication number: 20140350857
Abstract: A method of mapping a subterranean formation having at least one wellbore therein may include operating an electromagnetic (EM) signal source and an EM receiver to generate wellbore position data. The method may also include operating a seismic signal source and a seismic receiver to generate seismic data, and generating subterranean formation data based upon the wellbore position data and the seismic data.
