  • Patent number: 11841152
Abstract: An HVAC system controller is provided having a first output terminal electrically coupled to at least one component, and a second output terminal electrically coupled to the at least one component. A processing device controls the first output terminal and the second output terminal. If the first output terminal fails, the processing device changes a state of at least one of the first output terminal and the second output terminal.

  • Patent number: 11268717
Abstract: A method of controlling power applications for a power transformer in a heating ventilation and cooling system (HVAC). The method includes measuring a voltage output of a transformer, the transformer configured to supply control power to a component of the HVAC system, determining a loading of the transformer; prioritizing a loading of the transformer; and applying the prioritization to mitigate loading constraints associated with the transformer.

  • Patent number: 11054160
Abstract: A method of operating a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes determining a first heating or cooling demand for a first zone of a space and determining a second heating or cooling demand for a second zone of the space. The method determines that the first demand requires operation of the HVAC system in a first mode, and that the second demand requires operation of the HVAC system in a second mode opposite the first mode, and a simultaneous heat/cool algorithm is operated to alternatingly operate the HVAC system in the first mode to condition the first zone and the second mode to condition the second zone.

  • Publication number: 20160368544
Abstract: A three-piece roof fairing is mounted on a cab of a vehicle. The vehicle includes a trailer located behind the cab. The trailer includes a top leading edge, a front surface below the top leading edge, and a top surface behind the top leading edge. The roof fairing includes a front portion and a top portion. A characteristic of one or more of the front portion or the top portion is selected such that the air flow passing across a front of the cab passes over the front portion and the top portion of the roof fairing and is directed onto the top surface of the trailer beyond the top leading edge.
