A medium may comprise at least one seamless filtration component, which may comprise a plurality of bonded polymeric fibers and have a porosity from about 60% to about 95%. The medium may comprise multiple, concentrically arranged seamless filtration components, each having a hollow cylindrical configuration. A method of filtering a fluid stream may comprise placing such a medium in the fluid stream, thereby removing particles from the fluid stream. The at least one seamless filtration component of the medium may comprise a plurality of bonded polymeric fibers and have a porosity from about 60% to about 95%. The fluid stream may have a temperature of up to about 150° C. and the particles may have an average diameter from about 0.1 ?m to about 5 ?m. Publication number: 20200388152Abstract: A vehicle proximity alert system including a plurality of field transmitters, a notification unit and a housing unit. Each field transmitter is located externally from the vehicle and broadcasts an encoded signal including identification information for determining an imminent corresponding road hazard or road warning. The notification unit includes an antenna for receiving the encoded signal, a receiver for decoding the encoded signal and determining the imminent corresponding road hazard or road warning associated with the encoded signal, an internal transmitter for broadcasting an encoded signal requesting assistance for the vehicle and a vehicle interface unit for communicating the corresponding road hazard or road warning to the operator of the vehicle. The housing unit encloses the notification unit. The housing unit includes a solar panel for providing power to the notification unit, and one or more apertures for mounting the housing unit on a fixed structure.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 6, 2019Publication date: December 10, 2020Inventor: Bradley Harris

Publication number: 20180131822Abstract: A method for digital file management and imaging in a system having a plurality of steps including activating a custom URL with the workstation web browser and determining whether the workstation processor has a scanner interface software component. If the workstation does not have that component, loading code of that component into the workstation processor, registering a protocol handler of that component with the operating system and activating a local web component in the scanner interface software component. If the workstation has the scanner interface software component, activating a local web component in the scanner interface software component. The method further includes receiving a scan command message at the web component, activating a scanner to generate images from a document, sending generated images from the scanner to the desktop component and sending metadata and generated images from the desktop component to a digital content provider system.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 6, 2017Publication date: May 10, 2018Inventors: James Bradley Harris, John Clayton Long, Kimberly Meier, Daniel J Nellius

Patent number: 7431713Abstract: An infusion device has a body, flexible wings and a needle projecting generally at right angles from one end of the body. A guard is pivoted to the one end of the body. On one side, the guard has a channel so that the guard overlies the body in a first position thereof during application of the needle to the patient. The guard is pivotable through about 180° to a position generally parallel to the body and on a side of the needle remote from the body. As the needle is withdrawn from the patient, the guard is pivoted about 90° further to receive the needle between one or more flexible contoured members along the opposite side of the guard. The needle is thus captured and encapsulated within the guard, with audible confirmation, the members precluding the guard from pivoting away from the needle.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2003Date of Patent: October 7, 2008Assignee: Command Medical Products, Inc.Inventors: R. Publication number: 20060059294Abstract: A straddle vehicle includes an expandable bus topology to operate one or more peripheral devices from a single location on the straddle vehicle, the peripheral devices being physically distributed about the straddle vehicle. The topology includes a bus trunk and a main hub controller. The main hub controller attaches directly to the peripheral devices and/or other bus trunks. Additional peripheral devices attach to the main hub or other controllers. A user interface module operates from a single location on the handlebar as the sole user controller for the peripheral devices. For easy operation, the module includes a four-way rocker and other switches manipulated by a user's thumb. Preferably, the bus topology operates according to a controller area network (CAN) protocol. Peripheral devices include cell phones, CD players, MP3 players, radar detectors, navigation devices and radios, such as AM, FM, XM, WB, GMRS or CB. Methods for control are also described.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 16, 2004Publication date: March 16, 2006Inventors: Kevin Smith, Shawn Northener, John Mayhugh, Bradley Harris, Brian Glenn, Thad Switzer
