  • Patent number: 9892080
Abstract: Signaling to control transmit/receive mode transitions of a serial half-duplex transceiver coupled externally to an integrated circuit is provided by the integrated circuit separately from a host processor of the integrated circuit with which the transceiver communicates. This can avoid slow transceiver turn-around times that may be associated with host processor control of the mode transitions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 14, 2015
Date of Patent: February 13, 2018
    Assignee: Texas Instruments Incorporated
Inventors: Schuyler T. Patton, Jr., Punya Prakash, Melissa Marie Watkins, Saqib Nadeem Mohammad, Bradley James Griffis
  • Patent number: 9715468
Abstract: It is desirable for interrupt handling routines to be aware of the interrupt latency—the time between a interrupt request is received and the time when the interrupt service routine begins executing. A method is shown wherein the latency is measured by a dedicated counter and is available to the interrupt service routine. Alternately, a threshold may be set indicating the maximum acceptable latency and the interrupt service routine is signaled when said maximum is reached.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 4, 2014
Date of Patent: July 25, 2017
    Assignee: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INCORPORATED
Inventors: Bradley James Griffis, David Allan Comisky, Merrill Ray Newman

  • Patent number: 7630841
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for power monitoring with sequencing and supervision are disclosed. An example method disclosed herein includes supervising a first power rail and a second power rail, sequencing a first enable signal associated with the first power rail and a second enable signal associated with the second power rail, and determining whether the first power rail is enabled based on regulation information determined while supervising the first power rail.
