Patent number: 10763833Abstract: In described examples, a ring oscillator includes a series of N stages in a first ring. Each stage includes a respective output terminal coupled to a respective input terminal of a next one of the stages in the first ring. N is a positive odd-numbered integer of at least three. A series of N level shifters in a second ring are respectively connected to the N stages. Each level shifter receives a respective clock output from a respective output terminal of a stage to which it is connected and generates a respective boosted clock output in response thereto. The boosted clock output is coupled to control an impedance state of a next one of the level shifters in the second ring.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2018Date of Patent: September 1, 2020Assignee: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INCORPORATEDInventors: Ernst Gerog Muellner, Tobias Fritz, Bradley Kramer, Swaminathan Sankaran, Baher Haroun, Ralf Brederlow

Patent number: 10125750Abstract: A system and method for machinery performing work with hydraulic actuators. Radial hydraulic pumps are aligned end-to-end along a common driveshaft axis to form a multi-pump assembly having a plurality of piston/cylinder units extending in a radial direction. Two or more piston/cylinder units are associated with one another to form multiple piston/cylinder groups. A plurality of control valves combines individual output flows from the two or more associated piston/cylinder units into respective common output flows for each respective piston/cylinder group. A plurality of flow control devices varies the common output flow from each respective piston/cylinder group by throttling inlet flow to the two or more associated piston/cylinder units in each respective piston/cylinder group. Each respective common output flow is directed from each respective piston/cylinder group to a hydraulic actuator on the heavy machinery to control its direction of movement.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 2016Date of Patent: November 13, 2018Assignee: HUSCO International, Inc.Inventors: Joe Pfaff, Bradley Kramer, Dwight Stephenson, Eric Hamkins

Patent number: 9062665Abstract: A pump system has a piston pump. The piston pump has a cylinder block with an inlet port, an outlet port, and a plurality of cylinders. Each cylinder in the plurality of cylinders is connected to the inlet port by an inlet passage and to the outlet port by an outlet passage. The piston pump has a plurality of pistons disposed in the plurality of cylinders. A drive shaft drives the pistons within the cylinders. A throttle member independently throttles flow in each inlet passage. The pump system has an electrohydraulic actuator governing movement of the throttle member.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 2013Date of Patent: June 23, 2015Assignee: HUSCO International, Inc.Inventors: David Schedgick, Bradley Kramer, Joe Pfaff

Publication number: 20140140380Abstract: A method is provided. An initial bit sequence is received by a receiver. A local oscillator is locked initially to a local reference and subsequently to the received signal using the initial bit sequence, and automatic gain control (AGC) is performed once the local oscillator is locked to the local reference. A Costas loop is then activated so as to achieve carrier frequency offset (CFO) lock, and sign inversion is detected. The receiver then synchronized with an end-of-training pattern.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 21, 2012Publication date: May 22, 2014Applicant: Texas Instruments IncorporatedInventors: Nirmal C. Publication number: 20070018707Abstract: A phase interpolation system includes an input stage that provides first and second modulated input signals having selected first and second relative phase angles. A weighting system is configured to steer a first portion of the first modulated input signal to an output and a second portion of the first modulated input signal to an internal balancing node. The weighting system also is configured to steer a first portion of the second modulated input signal to the output and a second portion of the second modulated input signal to the balancing node. The first portion of the first and second modulated input signals are summed at the output to provide an interpolated output signal having a phase angle that is between the first and second phase angles.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 22, 2005Publication date: January 25, 2007Inventors: Narasimhan Rajagopal, Bradley Kramer

Publication number: 20060226864Abstract: System and method for integrated circuit manufacturing. A preferred embodiment comprises transmitting a first set of data to integrated circuits (ICs) while they are in an on-wafer state and having each IC store the first set of data into memory, transmitting a second set of data to the ICs and having the ICs compare the second set of data with the first set of data stored in the memory, reading out the results of the comparisons, and marking an IC as being defective if the comparison indicates that that the first set of data did not match the second set of data. Each IC features an antenna formed in the scribe line region adjacent to the IC so that communications can take place while the IC remains on the wafer without the need to use electrical probes.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 6, 2005Publication date: October 12, 2006Inventor: Bradley Kramer

Publication number: 20060187046Abstract: System and method for disabling a RFID tag. A preferred embodiment comprises attenuating a signal received at an antenna of the RFID tag based upon a status of the RFID tag and responding to an instruction in the received signal if the attenuated signal is detectable. The attenuation of the received signal requires that the received signal have a signal strength greater than a specified threshold in order for the instruction in the received signal to be detectable. This means that for a given signal transmit power, the RFID tag must be within a certain distance from a RFID reader attempting to retrieve information from the RFID tag. By setting the attenuation amount at a sufficiently high level, the method ensures that the RFID reader must be substantially adjacent to the RFID tag, preventing the unintended retrieval of unique identification information by RFID readers remotely located from the RFID tag.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 22, 2005Publication date: August 24, 2006Inventor: Bradley Kramer

Publication number: 20060158324Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to facilitate identification of a tire pressure sensing module in a tire pressure monitoring system. In one embodiment, a tire pressure sensing module includes a receive detector coupled to monitor a radio-frequency signal received by an antenna. The receive detector provides a detection signal if the received signal has at least a predetermined amplitude. The module also includes at least one sensor operative to sense a condition associated with a tire. A transmitter is coupled to provide a transmit signal via the antenna. A control system controls the transmitter to transmit the transmit signal to include at least the identifying data in response to the detection signal.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 4, 2005Publication date: July 20, 2006Inventor: Bradley Kramer

Publication number: 20060144134Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to for detecting movement of an object. In one embodiment, a system is disclosed to detect movement of an object (e.g., a tire). The system includes a sensor that is operative to sense at least a pressure condition within an enclosed space of the object based on an operating mode of the system. A control system controls the operating mode of the system based at least in part on whether movement of the object is detected. The movement of the object is detected based on a variation in the at least a pressure condition over time. The system can be implemented as part of a tire pressure monitoring system.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 4, 2005Publication date: July 6, 2006Inventor: Bradley Kramer

Publication number: 20050082127Abstract: A suspension system has a pair of cylinders connected between the cab or axle and a chassis of a vehicle to isolate the driver from vibrations. A pair of hydraulic cylinders is coupled to opposite sides of the cab or axle and to the vehicle chassis. A separate accumulator is coupled each hydraulic cylinder to act as a hydraulic spring that attenuates side to side motion. A leveling valve selectively control the flow of fluid to or from both hydraulic cylinders to level the cab or seat in response to load changes.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 20, 2003Publication date: April 21, 2005Inventors: Dennis Barber, Bradley Kramer, Eric Griesbach
