    Abstract: An operating mechanism including a number of biasing elements and a number of linkage members is provided. The linkage members are operatively coupled to each other and each are movable between a second configuration, an initial tripped configuration, a rebound configuration, and a final tripped configuration. The biasing elements are operatively coupled to the number of linkage members and bias the number of linkage members to the final, first configuration. A stop member is coupled to one of the linkage members. The stop member moves with the associated linkage member. The stop member is positioned to contact a stop surface when the linkage members are in the rebound configuration. Contact between the stop member and the stop surface substantially arrests the motion of the linkage members.

In one exemplary, non-limiting embodiment, a strain relief assembly includes a cover and a base, each of which include a number of grooves structured to receive a number of wires. Each groove has a first side and a second side, where the second side is located opposite the first side. Furthermore, located on the first side and/or the second side are a number of protrusions. The grooves and the protrusions serve to secure the number of wires within the strain relief assembly such that, if a force is applied to an end of the wire, the protrusions work to retain the wires with the assembly.

The circuit breaker also includes a magnetic armature assembly including an armature plate configured to move responsive to a current in the at least one conductor and an elongate link member (e.g., a rod) coupling the armature plate to the trip bar and having at least one flanged portion retained in at least one keyed slot in at least one of the armature plate and the trip bar assembly. The elongate link member may have a narrowed portion sized to allow passage of the link member through a narrowed portion of the at least one keyed slot to facilitate engagement of the at least one flanged portion in the at least one keyed slot.
