    Abstract: One embodiment is an apparatus for capturing marker stroke locations, including erasures. The marker includes a transmitter of acoustic pulses and an erasure cap detector that detects when a removable erasure cap is attached to the marker. A receiver includes two or more sensors to sense the acoustic pulses, the receiver operable to determine and track marker locations. When the removable erasure cap is attached to the marker, the marker locations are erasures, and when there is no erasure cap attached, the marker locations being tracked capture strokes. Another embodiment is a method of capturing marker stroke locations, including erasures, using the marker, the removable erasure cap for erasures, and the receiver.

Each microphone views the work surface at the corresponding location and is configured to receive acoustical signals from an input device operating over the work surface at another location. The EM detector detects an EM signal that is synchronized with the acoustical signals.

    Abstract: A client print server link is provided, which uses two-way communication between a client computer and a printing system typically comprised of networked output devices and print servers. The client print server link provides detailed information regarding each print server and connected device within a printing system. The client print server link allows a client user at a client computer to access information and control each of their print jobs quickly and efficiently within a single application, without requiring the user to access a plurality of separate utilities. The client print server link groups and displays information that is relevant to print jobs sent by a single client user to connected print servers and output peripheral devices.
