Publication number: 20250136066Abstract: A fluid exchanger may exchange a fluid (e.g., coolant) in a reservoir (e.g., vehicle radiator) by removing or withdrawing a first fluid (e.g., old, spent, used, etc.) and by introducing a second fluid (e.g., new, clean, etc.). In some examples, the exchanger includes a valve construction that permits easy and safe transitioning from a first mode in which the fluid in the vehicle is run in a loop (e.g., after a cleaner is introduced) to a second mode in which the fluid is exchanged. In some examples, the exchanger includes a restrictor that stops fluid from flowing when the pressure fails to satisfy a threshold (e.g., where the pressure is below a threshold). In some examples, the exchanger includes a safety valve (e.g., ball valve) in the bottom of the new fluid tank, such that when the tank is empty, the valve will close and reduce the likelihood of unintentionally pushing air into the system (e.g., emptying the reservoir).Type: ApplicationFiled: October 26, 2024Publication date: May 1, 2025Inventors: Michael Jason ERWIN, Bradley Robert YOUNG, Stephen Marvin PEDERSON, Zachary Adam DOLD

Patent number: 12215566Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an apparatus, a system and a process for regulating a wellhead control mechanism. The apparatus is configured to control actuation of a wellhead control mechanism by moving a moveable body of the apparatus between a first position and a second position. When the apparatus is in the first position a valve actuator is actuatable and when the apparatus is in the second position the valve actuator is physically interfered from actuating. When the apparatus is in the second position, the wellhead control mechanism cannot be actuated and is held in either an open, a partially open or a closed position. Other embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a system that directly controls actuation of a wellhead actuation mechanism.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2022Date of Patent: February 4, 2025Assignee: Intelligent Wellhead Systems Inc.Inventors: Bradley Robert Martin, Murad Mohammad, Sheldon Kryger, Robert Duncan

Publication number: 20240310311Abstract: A method includes receiving a gas or gas mixture through a flow sensor. A flow velocity, volumetric, or mass flow are determined. The method also includes determining a sound velocity of the gas or gas mixture by an ultrasonic sensor. A density of the gas or gas mixture is correlated from the sound velocity. The method also includes positioning a microthermal sensor in an area with less flow or no flow of the gas or gas mixture. A thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of the gas or gas mixture at the one or more temperatures is determined. The method also includes connecting a processor to the microthermal sensor to calculate an energy of the gas or gas mixture based on a calorific value, the temperature and the volume or mass flow. Specific quantities for gas quality are correlated.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 17, 2023Publication date: September 19, 2024Inventors: Ralf Schroeder genannt Berghegger, Christian Lampe-Juergens, Guido Temme, Tobias Meimberg, Bradley Robert Visser, Florian Severin Krischker, Andreas Kempe

Patent number: 12084944Abstract: Processes for determining if a well-operation tool is present within a wellhead, including receiving object-based sensory information by a controller circuit, where the object-based sensory information is generated by a sensor. The process also includes processing sensory information to determine if the signal has a property indicating that the well-operational tool is or is not present within the wellhead. The process further includes generating a visual signal which indicates that the well-operation tool is or is not present within the wellhead and generating an actuation command for a valve actuator control system configured to maintain an operational position of a wellhead control mechanism of the wellhead based upon the processing step if the well-operation tool is present within the wellhead and to change an operational position of the well control mechanism if the well-operation tool is not present within the wellhead.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2023Date of Patent: September 10, 2024Assignee: Intelligent Wellhead Systems Inc.Inventors: Bradley Robert Martin, Murad Mohammad, Sheldon Kryger, Robert Duncan
