The bed light and tailgate lock controller is electrically connected to the wiring system of a vehicle and receives control signals, in the form of power being sent to the brake lights, and in response to receiving these control signals bed light and tailgate lock controller locks and unlocks the tailgate and illuminates the bed of the vehicle.
